Re: The Obligatory Fantaversian Birthday Thread
Thanks for remembering, Surfer. I've been so busy with classes and writing my script (74 pages written so far in six days) that I was convinced that almost everyone forgot. Also, I've been such a jerk lately with everything going on that I wasn't even expecting that anyone would wish me a happy birthday.
But thankfully, things have been getting better. The Dark Knight Rises came out, I've got one week of classes left (it's getting down to the wire on if I pass or not), the first draft of the script is about 80-90% finished and my best friend from college is re-enrolling after taking a year off (she keeps me in line and I keep her in line).
For my birthday, I've got my class and I have to study for a test (we get less than a day to study, I'm not kidding). But before then, I'm going to be spending money I got for my birthday ($180 worth). On Tuesday, I may go catch a movie after the test (either The Amazing Spider-Man or Prometheus at the second-run house).

Boushh, we all go through rough times, god knows I've had a tough couple of weeks with Helena's family which I don't really want to go in to, but as you have noted, we get through them. We all know you, like all of us, can be an ass sometimes, but we also know you're a vital member of the community. Let's hope your 22nd year on this planet can be just as interesting and controversial, though just without offending too many people!
Now, after passing your class go catch Spidey!

Re: The Obligatory Fantaversian Birthday Thread
I'll be able to take it easy after this week as I get three weeks off before the Fall semester. I'm trying to finish up my Associate's in December so I can transfer in January (I'm planning to get my Bachelor's in writing). Then, it will be a planned non-stop year and a half of getting that.

Happy Birthday bud. I haven't been on much the past few days because of family in town (my brother from Virginia is staying with us) so I'm glad I caught this.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

Happy birthday. Congrats on the script progress, and good luck with the class(es).

I'm glad we started calling you Boosh, because when Nico referred to you as Boush, I kept getting flashbacks:
That being said, happy birthday, buddy. I've asked some of the guys to help pitch in an buy a 20-gallon drum of Valium to send to your house, but they don't take expired pizza coupons as legal tender. Fucking commies.

Re: The Obligatory Fantaversian Birthday Thread
The first draft of my script is complete. If anyone wants to read it, I can e-mail it as an attachment.
Note: dialogue is written in some bizarre American/British English hybrid. It would be great it someone tell me what different words I left out.

Boosch, why set it in the UK? Why not set it in the US equivalent so you won't have to struggle with dialect?
And good job on writing a script in a week!

Re: The Obligatory Fantaversian Birthday Thread
A few reasons:
1. I'm more interested in writing about places that interest me rather than places I know (when you live in a boring suburb of a boring city, you want to think about other places). Northern England was one of those places.
2. Two of my main inspirations for the script were the works of Hammer Films and the film Fish Tank, which are UK based. Also, I wanted to avert the "Britain is only London" cliche.
