Not really poker, but more stock market/gambling predictions. I was listening to the latest Freakonomics podcast on predictions and they mentioned this site, intrade.com. If you have someone offering up a wager, you can take it. There's everything from movies, politics, Dow Jones averages, weather, business, etc.

Right now, for films, they have (OWs):
Killer Elite over $7 M (58%, means you'd have to pay $5.80 to win $10, or $4.20 against to win $10 if it loses)
Moneyball over $22 M (5.6%, $0.56 for/$9.44 against to win 10)
Dolphin Tale over $18 M (25%, $2.50 for/$7.50 against)
Dolphin Tale over $6 M (91%)
Abduction over $12 M (40%)

Moneyball's % is kind of shocking. It means you could risk only $5.60 to win $100 if it hits $22 M OW, which probably won't happen but I think it has a better chance than 5.6%.

WSOP November Nine is underway.

First victim is Englander Sam Holden, who pushes his last 11 million chips in with a AJ of spades. Ben Lamb calls with an AK. The first four cards that come out are all clubs, giving Lamb a flush. Holden exits with $782,000, which means everyone left will win at least $1 million.

Chip leader Pius Heinz has knocked out Ukrainian Anton Makiievskyi in eighth place ($1.01M).

I'll relate the exact hand as soon as the telecast catches up. Heinz is now at $61.1M, $18M ahead of 2nd place Martin Staszko.


Edit: Heinz raised with pocket nines, Makiievskyi goes all-in with a KQ off. Flop goes in Makiievskyi's favor with KJJ, but Heinz turns a 9 and that's all she wrote. When you're hot, you're hot.

Short-stacked Ben Bounhara of Belize pushes his last 6 million-plus in with A5, and is crushed by Staszko's A9.

Bounhara exits in 7th place ($1.3M).

Not long after, Phil Collins doubles up against Ben Lamb.

Irishman Eoghan O'Dea busts and finishes in sixth place (sorry, Six), copping $1.7 million.

American Phil Collins is taken out by chip leader Pius Heinz, earning $2.27 million.

Took a long time, but we are finally down to three players. After losing most of his stack to Heinz, Matt Giannetti lost his final 13 million chips to fellow American Ben Lamb. Giannetti walks away with over $3 million in prize money.

The finals will resume on Tuesday. Here are the current standings:

Ben Lamb, 55.4 million
Martin Staszko, 42.7 million

If Heinz loses, I'll be very surprised. He's been in control at every turn.

Missed reporting it, but Pius Heinz ended up winning the WSOP Main Event.

Staszko took 2nd, Ben Lamb took 3rd.

The WSOP Main Event final table is playing tonight and tomorrow. This year they're doing it differently. It's only on a 15 minute tape delay and you can't see the cards until after the hand is over. They're playing down to 3 (from 9) tonight, so it could be 4-5 AM before they're done. Tomorrow they start at 9 PM and go until a winner.
