yeah, the marquee concept is cool.. so is the reel.. i'd lose the superfluous lens-flare

That could really work SS, with a few tweaks here ant there. I just dont like the random reel coming from nowhere. maybe if there was a reason for it. it could be sort of be like a border for two different pictures, just add something on the other side,

Hmm I really like that Silver. But I agree that the reel sticks out and seems odd. Also where it says movies. mayhem, moguls it seems a bit messed up? Other than that it's really nice.

the shitty clipart-lookin' film reel would be replaced with something a bit more glossy and realistic looking.. but that's a basic idea.. we could incorporate Barca's silhouette motif under the banner for the main page (or the intro page if we have one), and then just limit it to the banner itself when navigating deeper into the site

I'm just having a play with my banner and I've tidied it up a bit, but I'm not sure what to do with the film reel? Anyone have any ideas?

if you're stickin' with yer marquee/film-reel design, maybe erase the very bottom of the reel itself so that it appears that it's coming from behind the marquee

I don't have any graphic design software but here's my suggestion:
-a retro 1980's styled multiplex marquee with Reel Society on top and some taglines and features where the movie titles would be.

I've been working on my design over my lunch times so will send a finished product when I'm back in work on monday. Other than that I like NSpan's image. Would be good as a kind of icon maybe?
