I'm sticking with what I predicted pre-season (why change now?!?!?!) And saying that the Detroit tigers will beat the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series

Is history repeating itself? The Braves are down 6-2 in the 7th inning to the Cardinals and have committed three errors so far.

Sometimes I have to wonder if the Braves even care about finishing what they start.

What could possibly be the final at-bat of Chipper Jones's career (as they are down 6-3) had him as the potential tying run and he grounds out. His line for the day is 0-4 with a strikeout. An undistinguished end to a strong career.

Edit: his real final at-bat was in the ninth and it was a single. Final line: 1-5 with a single and a strikeout.

The game is now under a delay due to Atlanta fans throwing things onto the field due to a hit being changed to an out (because of the infield fly rule).

It wasn't a change. It was called on the field, although later than it should have been. Bad call, and I'm a big Cards fan.

That was a bullshit call. I played and score-kept for many years, that was NOT an infield fly rule scenario. The fans are acting like assholes and its not right, but they have the right to be upset.

I'm following it on MLB Gamecast (on ESPN.com) and it was originally listed as a hit. But I see how the broadcast and an webcast would be different.

By the way, has a playoff game ever been forfeited for any reason?

You can't get the game in Missouri? I use Gamecast (I think it's called the same) when I can't watch the Chiefs (almost every week) and when I'm trying to see how my suicide pick is going.

My dad is watching it on TBS. I just follow everything on my computer.

Anyway, here is the play. And yes, the wrong call was made. That was a hit.

Anyone else think that the Cards should bench Mitchell Boggs for the rest of the series? The loss today was mostly his fault (though 0 for 8 with RISP isn't good either) and they nearly blew Friday because of him. The guy simply can't buy an out and he's making Matheny look like an idiot for putting him out there in late inning situations.
