So, I know the music countdown is going on, but I am bumping this up because, well, there's at least one song off of Against Me's latest album that I am positive would have made my list if I were making it today, and the album is less than 3 weeks old. I feel the need to post it, its just a breathtaking song, so I am going to post it here, instead of on the countdown thread. This thread never really took off the way it did over on the other forum. I just think this is the best place for it. So here you go, this is Against Me's "Because of the Shame" off of White Crosses.

geez - that wasn't bad, liked it more than any of the other songs you posted from them. It had an interesting 80s vibe to it.

I figured you would, UDM, and others as well. The new album is certainly very different. They are pulling back the fire and aggression a bit, and using a lot more harmony and certainly much higher production values. Its different, but still pretty damn good, as far as I'm concerned. And that is what makes them such a talented and incredible band, that they can almost completely reinvent their sound over and over again, and still remain their level of awesome. They are the best band in music today, and their latest has only made that opinion of mine stronger.

And the lyrics of this one are just killer.

If you are going to pick it up, make sure you get the special edition, as three of the bonus tracks are some of the best songs on the album.

Edit: I have three songs left by them on my countdown, one sounds more like this, one is off their first album, and one is in the middle, just to illustrate what I'm talking about.

I thought I would share this as I just found it and thought it was interesting... The Oak Ridge Boys doing Seven Nation Army. If you don't know them, they're most famous for doing the song "Elvira" (The "um poppa mow mow" song).

Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

Kelly Rowland still has a career? I thought it ended after Freddy vs. Jason.
