That's the great thing about the net. You can find your world of music and live in it without having to face the heap of crap that takes up Billboard's lists.
That said, I don't find Rihanna's music as offensive as most of that other crud.
As for the "alternative" list, it's about as alternative as the Queen's Speech.

At least Nickelback isn't on any of the lists. Before Katy Perry, there were possibly the worst at payola (no one likes them but their music is on the radio ALL THE FUCKING TIME).
