Next week I'll be at the ATP 10 Year music festival. Here's the line-up

Now the question is: do I go to see Crispin Glover's slide show on Sunday morning, accompanied by It is fine EVERYTHING IS FINE! (not available on DVD, and Crispin plans never to release it on DVD) or check out Shellac and Captain Beefheart's backing band The Magic Band?

Ooooh, Mars Volta <3 they are a must see. Also I was just complaining to my friend last night that I need to go see the Yeah Yeah yeahs at some point, I've had Heads Will Roll stuck in my head for days, so you should do that too.

Knitting/crocheting with Kelly Deal! That is so funny. Must sees for me would be Dirty Three, J Mascis & the Fog, Mudhoney, and like Becs, Mars Volta and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
I would choose the slide show because it sounds like a rare(r) oppurtunity compared to Shellac, but then again I don't know who they are.
Looks like an interesting and diverse festival. See some bands play live and then finish with a movie or two.

What's that about Kelley Deal, Leestu? Wasn't she from the Breeders?

You should go to both Crispin Glover shows.

Yeah, Kim's little sister. Click on the link Six provided and it talks about her doing knitting and or crochetting with anyone that wants to join her. Seems a bit surreal to me. "I'm going to a 3 day festival. I might check out some bands, watch some movies,...oh and I better not forget to take my knitting."

Don't you know? Knitting is the new punk rock!

Will most certainly be checking out the YYY's. They're playing their first album in its entirety, and I'm sure I'll get to hear a live version of Heads will Roll.
Battles are also a must- amazing live.

Shellac are Steve Albini's band (he's a producer and sound engineer- produced Nirvana's In Utero, stuff by PJ Harvey, GYBE, etc), but may skip em for Crispin after all.

I got tickets yesterday for Dinosaur Jr who are playing here in a couple of months. Should be an interesting gig as the venue is a local pub that probably couldn't fit more than a couple of hundred people.

My dad's band played with Dinosaur Jr. back in the day. They are from Amherst, MA which is about 20 minutes away from me.

They are awesome to see live, and the fact that you are seeing them in such an intimate setting should make the show even better.

I think so too Keyser. They are playing festivals in the rest of the country but just this one stand alone gig where I am, which I am so grateful they are.
