Guys,

http://www.cinemablend.com/television/S ... 25553.html

Thanks to surfer (I think it was surfer) who told me that they were hiring TV recappers at Cinemablend.com. I am now the official recapper for So You Think You Can Dance (performance shows only). I'm moving on up!

Congratulations, Shryke! I pretty much hate those dancing contests, but it's great to boost your profile like that. Hopefully you can sneak into other aspects of the site. don't forget to plug us at every opportunity!

Wooo, congrats man! As I mentioned in the fall lineup thread, I actually do think that show is pretty decent considering the genre, so you are lucky you got that over many other reality shows. So I look forward to reading your recaps :)

Wasn't me Shryke, but congratulations nevertheless. Just remember to come online once every so often when you hit the bright lights of hollywood journalism. Remember the little people.

Thanks, everyone!

And becs, they actually gave me a list of shows to choose form. SYTYCD was really the only one available that I liked or watch regularly. (And they've actually got someone else doing the results shows.)

Still, it's fun. I was up past midnight figuring out how to submit the recap, but hopefully that's a hurdle I won't have to overcome again.

Congrats Shryke!
I can't stand that show. :)

Here's to eventually making enough cash you can quit your day job! :)

I'm all for that!

Though they're not exactly PAYING me to do this...

It, like all the writing I do for this site, is voluntary. But it might look good on a resume down the line.

That's what I was thinking, which is why I said eventually...

I think most television and especially any reality based television on the same level as watchings cows vomit but congrats anyway.

My wife goes to her Girl's Night every thursday and they watch that show and eat and drink. I watched it for about 15 minutes once before I stabbed myself in the face with a cocktail weenie.

But hey, any padding to the resume is a good thing. I would write a pro piece for Dubya and Hitler if it would get me paid. ;)

I just got my "assignments" for the fall season. Starting this month on Cinemablend TV I will be recapping:

Survivor: Nicaragua (Wed., starting 9/15)
Medium (Fri., starting 9/24)
The Amazing Race (Sun., starting 9/26)

Pretty darn cool!

The following shows are going to be recapped by other writers:

Hawaii Five-O
The Walking Dead
Undercovers
The Event
Community
Modern Family
30 Rock
Sons of Anarchy

That leaves a lot of shows untouched. If any of you guys have any shows that you are gaga over and think you would like to provide recaps on a weekly basis, please let me know, and I can put you in touch with my contact.
