I noticed that they are sneak previewing the Nikita pilot in one of the movie theatres here on September 9th before the show airs later that night. From the ads that the theatre had, it looks like an in-name-only remake of the Luc Besson film and the 1990's series La Femme Nikita.

And it looks like Lone Star may already be on the cancellation block. The pilot episode had a disastrous 1.3 rating, finishing last in its time slot by a mile despite heavy advertising by Fox.

The Event got a 3.7 rating, third-best of the night for new shows (Mike and Molly had the best ratings for a new show, with 3.9). Chase got a 2.5 rating, middleground for the new shows.

Can you provide a link to their TV ratings page (last request, I promise)?

I'm amazed Raising Hope had higher ratings than Running Wilde. You think that a show produced by Mitch Hurwitz and starring Will Arnett and Keri Russell would do better than a 2.5 (and finish with better ratings than a show with straight-to-DVD regular/bad actress Bijou Phillips).

Also was surprised to see The Defenders finish higher than Undercovers. But then again, Undercovers has had a lackluster ad campaign (thanks to NBC making every one of their shows look the exact same) and The Defenders's leads have been in rather good material lately.

Well, it's not even October yet, and the new Fall Schedule already has its first casualty: Lone Star.

Last week's debut, which garnered a paltry 4.1 million viewers, slipped to 3.2 million for Episode 2. Apparently, two nails is enough to shut its coffin, and it's been yanked.

So next week, in Lone Star's vacated time slot, FOX will be airing the 3rd-season premiere of Lie to Me.

I'm calling My Generation to be the next show canceled. Putting this on Thursdays was not a smart idea.
