I don't get why people watch Dancing with the Stars either, but if anything gets big numbers it would be stupid to touch it because it's easier to destroy something than make something that's huge and make it bigger. From what I can tell, they try and get as many groups of people to watch by inviting different categories of "stars" (athletes/younger women for men's viewing, soap stars for housewives, pop stars for the younger crowd, etc.). Bristol Palin fits a niche and people are voting for her (I guess, this is the first time I've heard it) and anyone watching this year that says they won't watch next year if she wins probably will tune in when they see their favorite athlete, puppeteer, or reality star is on the cast list.

Survivor got me invested this year by getting Jimmy Johnson on the island, but I don't think there's any celebrity that I would want to see ballroom dancing...
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I don't know if I mentioned this but Fox is canceling Running Wilde (Fox screws Hurwitz yet again to promote a typical dom-com that probably wouldn't have lasted past 6 episodes on any other network) and The Good Guys while deciding moving Fringe to Fridays (bad move here, they should move American Dad and The Cleveland Show to Fridays seeing no one watches the former and the latter sucks).

Dancing With The Stars recap: Baby put Bristol Palin in the corner. Jennifer Grey won.

So I guess television viewers have some sanity.

I'm so happy for Jennifer. I'm pretty sure she's the oldest woman to ever win. And that is three wins in a row for Derek Hough. Whoever partners with him this spring has gotta feel good.

Watched a few minutes of Skating With the Stars... just don't think it's going to catch on, like "That 80's Show".

It won't catch on. Fox tried it with Skating With Celebrities and I believe it was canceled midseason.

Late breaking news: it turns out that we could have been spared the disaster that was Bristol Palin's dancing. According to fellow contestant Margaret Cho, Bristol didn't even want to be on the show but Sarah Palin forced her to do it so to promote her Presidential campaign.

Seriously, Ms. Palin? You wanted to make yourself an even bigger joke than you are now?

Well, I wouldn't put anything past Palin these days. I'm sure she made her other daughter call that guy a fag on Facebook, because somehow that was news-worthy.
