Same here Geez. Well, not so much about the "early" memories, I'm afraid I'm just a bit older than you, but the fondness of it. Seeing Empire Strikes Back in one of the best theaters in Paris remains one of the best cinematic experience i've ever had.

I remember when they were reissued but no one would take me to see them since no one else in my family liked sci-fi (ironically, my mother liked Episodes I and II when they came out). I had to wait for the VHS.
