Re: The Latest Date Changes
Something tells me they're going to play it as a limited arthouse release and try to platform it during the holidays.

Re: The Latest Date Changes
I thought it was limited on its first release date? But yes, a limited late November + December expansion is a pretty smart Oscar move.

Re: The Latest Date Changes
Well, BOM still has it in wide-release on that date.
Speaking of, with that film exiting that weekend in October, that leaves only four titles coming out that day. I generally like to have at least five on each day, so I will add the following film to the roster:
The Flat - $3 Ult, $1 BO

Re: The Latest Date Changes
Is it an English version of 2 Broke Girls/Don't Trust The Bitch in Apt. 23? Because even if it's bad, you know that the brunette's going to played by a good actress.

No, it's actually a documentary. What about, I have no idea. But the current User Rating is good (not that there's very many votes).

Re: The Latest Date Changes
Sinister now has a strong shot of opening in first at the new date. At the old date, it would have likely opened in fourth.

Re: The Latest Date Changes
And now that the weekend of 10/26 has only four titles (sigh), I've gone and added another one:
Starlet - $3U, $1 BO

Re: The Latest Date Changes
Reportedly, The Amazing Spider-Man #2 has been canceled by Sony due to a disappointing box office on the first one. It never made any sense to announce a sequel before the first installment opened.
