I think Madame Web stays put, given how high Sony is on it.

In other news, Flamin' Hot will have a simultaneous Disney+/Hulu debut on June 9th. Could this be the start of Disney+ and Hulu combining to become one service?

That very well could be the case, especially given how barren February is at the moment. However, MLK weekend has been kind to them in the past and they might feel compelled to put it there since it would be replacing another Spider-Man-adjacent title (although using that logic, you could also make a case for putting Kraven the Hunter in that slot).

Strays has moved to August 18th, replacing the Please Don't Destroy movie, which is going direct-to-Peacock on November 17th.

Please Don't Destroy must be terrible then. The Peacock originals have not been promising.

It's either shit or really silly/weird. Regardless, Universal must have zero confidence in it if they're switching it to a full-blown streaming release.

I'm sure they would have gone theatrical if it were weird. You can get cult appeal that way. The Peacock originals have been titles that had no hope whatsoever.

Not sure about that. Popstar only made $9.5 mil worldwide and The Lonely Island were an established cult brand at that point.

But Popstar's had a solid post-theatrical life and a strong cult following since then. It wouldn't hurt to put Please Don't Destroy into theatres. It might have flopped but it would have looked good in future markets with that theatrical play.

Completely agree. Even if it the move was due to the movie being shit, the awareness that a theatrical release provides is always a boost over just dumping something into the abyss of streaming-especially when the service in question is Peacock.

Jeff Wadlow's directing. Who wants to bet Lucy Hale's the lead and the end result is really bad?

The 1998 filmed performance of Hugh Jackman in Oklahoma!, which has long been available on physical media, has been remastered in HD and will play in theatres for two days only on July 16th and 19th. I'm guessing this is to promote an on-demand/streaming release as the performance is currently unavailable digitally.
