Scoob! has also lost it's May 15th date. The next scheduled release is now Spongebob: Sponge on the Run on May 22nd, though that's sure to get pushed as well sadly.

James Wan's Malignant also got delayed too.

Did Trolls get pushed back? I'm still seeing commercials for it... or is it going straight to streaming?

Last I saw, it was going to be day-and-date but I have a feeling it will not be shown in a theatre outside of Asia any time soon.

It gets worse:

Ghostbusters Afterlife and Morbius have been delayed to March 2021
Peter Rabbit 2 has been delayed to January 2021
Uncharted has been delayed to October 2021
Greyhound has been delayed to an unspecified date
An Untitled Sony/Marvel movie that was supposed to be released on October 8 2021 has been delayed to an unknown date

On the bright side, Kevin Hart's dramatic role movie Fatherhood has been removed from its January 15 2021 slot and will now be released on October 23 2020. Also, Venom 2 and Monster Hunter have not been delayed and are on track for release in October 2020 (Venom 2) and September 2020 (Monster Hunter).

But yeah. Sony completely bailed out on the summer movie season. What's next? Top Gun Maverick delaying its release to 2021? I don't know. Only time will tell.

Minions 2 has found a new release date: July 2 2021.

However, that also means that Sing 2 has been pushed to December 22 2021 and that the Wicked Movie has been delayed indefinitely, likely now going for a 2022 release.

Paramount's reshuffled schedule:
SpongeBob: Sponge on the Run 7/31/20
A Quiet Place Part III 9/3/20
Top Gun: Maverick 12/23/20

Also, no dates yet, but based on MPA's rating bulletins over the past two weeks The Devil All the Time, Eurovision and Welcome to Sudden Death should all be on Netflix in the very near future.

7/31 seems like wishful thinking for Spongebob, but hopefully it can actually release then. Quiet Place 2 on September 4th could give a boost to a usually dead Labor Day weekend. That really sucks about Top Gun. A delay that far must mean post-production is being interfered with.

Unless films like Soul, Tenet, Bob's Burgers (though that is most likely to get delayed too as no trailer or poster has been released for it yet), French Dispatch, Jungle Cruise, Spongebob, and Wonder Woman 1984 manage to bring in big or decent amounts of box office money, the summer 2020 movie season is basically dead at this point.

Anyways, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect has been pushed to Christmas 2020 (limited) / January 2021 (wide) so that it can get awards season fare.

Also, according to the Paramount delay report, The Tomorrow War has been removed from its December 25 2020 release and is now delayed indefinitely, most likely finding a release in 2021.

A slew of release date changes from Disney today:

Mulan - 7/24/20
Black Widow - 11/6/20
Free Guy - 12/11/20
The Eternals - 2/12/21
Shang-Chi - 5/7/21
Jungle Cruise - 7/31/21
Doctor Strange 2 - 11/5/21

Interestingly, Pixar's Soul is still slated for 6/19. Disney is skipping a theatrical release for Artemis Fowl and is sending it straight to Disney+. Also, Universal moved Candyman to 9/25.

Bob's Burgers: The Movie has been pushed to April 9 2021. Again, I pretty much knew the delay was going to happen as there was no poster or trailer for it in the past months.

https://comicbook.com/movies/2020/04/03 ... shed-back/

Also, more Disney release changes for 2022:

Thor: Love & Thunder - 2/18/22
Captain Marvel 2 - 7/8/22
Indiana Jones 5 - 7/29/22
Untitled Marvel Studios Movie - 10/7/22

So far, no delay updates on the following:

Irresistible (5/29/20)
The Green Knight (5/29/20)
The King Of Staten Island (6/19/20)
The Purge 5 (7/10/20)
Tenet (7/17/20)

My Spy is finally getting a US release. Amazon will premiere it on Prime later in the year.

I wonder if the rest of the STX 2020 lineup will as well.

Pixar's Soul has moved from 6/19 to 11/20. Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon has moved from 11/25 to 3/12/21.

June is now completely empty except for The King of Staten Island on 6/19 which will surely move. July still has The Purge 5 (now titled The Forever Purge), Tenet, Mulan, and Spongebob (for now).

Paramount also pushed Spongebob back a week from 7/31 to 8/7. It's now 2 weeks after Mulan but also just 1 week before WW84, though obviously these dates are all very tentative at the moment.
