Wounds will bypass theatres and premiere on Hulu on October 18th. I imagine the same thing will happen with the other completed Annapurna title without a date (Miranda July's Kajillionaire).

Is Sony worried about Kevin Hart not being able to finish/promote Fatherhood? Can't think of why else they'd vacate a prime February spot for April. Only 2 weeks before Trolls 2.

I don't think Sonic is that much of competition...

I think they want to position Peter Rabbit 2 closer to Easter. The marketing does itself.

As for Fatherhood, it was in post when Hart had his accident. Being that it's one of Sony's prestige projects (pretty much anything TriStar is ever since Rothman took over), it would need some major issues to be pushed significantly. It could probably take the vacated April 17th spot.

In MGM news, they have scheduled Samaritan, a sci-fi film starring Sylvester Stallone, for 11/20/2020. They must be expecting that Creed money with that date.

I was convinced this was a joke at first but here's goes. The Current War will now be released as The Current War: Director's Cut. How many people outside of Toronto saw the Weinstein cut when it premiered two years ago?

Meanwhile, Amazon will open Seberg on December 13th. At best, it's probably a fringe contender for awards, based on mixed festival word.

In a development that should shock absolutely no one, Disney and Sony have worked out their Spider-Man dispute and the 3rd installment has been dated for 7/16/21.

Also the seemingly cursed Uncharted movie has found a new director (for now) in Travis Knight.

Looks like Sony prayed and Disney didn't alter the deal.

I don't know what's so hard about Uncharted. Hopefully it keeps changing hands because Sony is rejecting stupid alterations to the characters (like when David O Russell had it).

The Ballad Of Richard Jewell, Clint Eastwood's newest, has gotten a December 13th release from Warner.

Apple's doing what Amazon used to do and will rent distributors for theatrical release. Greenwich will open Hala on 11/22/2019 while Bleecker Street will release The Banker on 12/6/2019.

And a few more dates:

Waves 11/15/2019 (from 11/1/2019)
The Last Full Measure 1/17/2020 (from 10/25/2019)
All Rise TBA 2020 (from 11/15/2019)

THANK GOD

I held onto Ballad of Richard Jewell in the FY Draft with hopes that it'd get dated out of nowhere just like The Mule. That's a bingo!

IMAX is releasing a Kanye West concert film on October 25th. Who still cares about him other than music critics and the alt-right?

New date:

Bad Trip 4/24/2020 (from 2/28/2020)

Wouldn't be surprised this one got dumped onto Hulu like Wounds is.
