New date:

Child's Play 6/21/2019

I have to wonder if this will relate to the current series (still around as a series of straight-to-DVD films directed by the creator) or if it will be a complete reboot. The casting of Aubrey Plaza in the Catherine Hicks role makes me wonder if it will be more comedic than the theatrical sequels.

Three Seconds is now titled The Informant (no exclamation point, this isn't a Matt Damon comedy) and has been pushed again to 3/22/2019 (from 2/1/2019).

In other news, A24 will produce films exclusively for Apple. I have to wonder how that's going to work, as A24 prides itself on edginess and being creator-friendly while Apple wants everything to be G-rated and has micromanaged some of their forthcoming content.

Edit: Aquaman will be getting sneak previews on December 15th. Warner Bros. must have a lot of faith in this one.

Entertainment Studios just randomly placed Arctic Dogs (formerly Arctic Justice: Thunder Squad) at 1/18/2019. Why does this market of cheap CGI movies getting token theatrical releases still exist?

I wonder who they'll cast as Candyman. I'm thinking they'll cast one of the Get Out actors (Kaluuya or Stanfield) to further the Peele connection.

Meanwhile, Lionsgate becomes the third distributor to handle the Mike Banning franchise as they will open Angel Has Fallen on 8/23/2019. Previously, FilmDistrict (which later merged with Focus) and Gramercy (Focus's short-lived revival of the 90's label) had the series.

Fantasy Island will open on 2/28/2020. For some reason, it's a horror film.

Watch a lot of dump titles go to May 3rd now (I'm guessing Breakthrough, The Intruder, The Hustle, and at least one other April 12th title go there).
