The August 24th IMAX title has been revealed to be 2001: A Space Odyssey. I guess Warner Bros. knew that they could make even more money by not making it exclusive to 70mm.

Minecraft has lost its date as Warner Bros. has realized once again that live-action directors have difficulty translating to animation. In addition, the script is getting a complete rewrite.

Cowboy Ninja Viking has also lost its date. I wonder if this was connected to Legendary.

I hope this means Priyanka gets replaced, she's been terrible in everything I've seen her in, yes she's gorgeous, but still she's not a great actress

I'm kind of surprised she still has a career in the States after the one-two punch of Quantico getting canceled and Baywatch flopping. It seems like the only non-American actresses that get chances in Hollywood now are Emily Blunt and Margot Robbie.

In other news, Disney's streaming service has been delayed to late 2019. It will be interesting to see what film they'll launch with (I'm guessing Nicole).

City of Lies was pulled from the schedule completely. Not surprised with all the legal drama surrounding it and Depp right now.

Already mentioned earlier. I'm convinced this one will end up on Netflix at some point.

The actress I'm not a fan of right now is "Token Chinese Woman" who has to speak her one English line phonetically because most mainstream movies can't use subtitles.

Silver and Black is dead. Instead, the film will now be a standalone Black Cat film followed by a standalone Silver Sable film.

Don't know if this goes here, but AMC is re-releasing every single MCU film (Iron Man #1-Antman 2, including Norton's Incredible Hulk) in IMAX from 8/30-9/6. Some only get only showing, some two or three. It's A-List compatible as well. Looks like tickets are cheap even if you aren't A-List. My local IMAX has every showing (that I tried) @ $8 even in 3D.

Yeah, I saw that too. Looks like IMAX is fully aware that no one actually wanted to see Kin on their screens (especially since the other movie that had "from the producers of Stranger Things and Arrival" as its main selling point flopped).

Personally, I'm more interested in the 2001 reissue. No 70mm here and another theatre here (which based its interior on 2001) tried to get the restoration but couldn't, even though they showed the film twice last year.

I've never seen 2001, and I can't wait to see it in IMAX.

I'm signing up for A-List, as that one ticket will be pretty much pay for the first month anyway. And I haven't been able to use my MoviePass for the past two weeks, as tickets always run out before 5-6pm. I can only go to the movies at night, so it was a waste to keep paying. Was a good run though.

I have both MP and A-List. Supposedly MP is going to go to three a month soon, which will hopefully end most of this BS. A-list has a three month commitment if you didn’t know. It’s very easy and most screenings are covered (no Fathom, PPV Theo things, etc).

Wow, so they move it up 3 months ! Is that confidence ? Late November is quite crowded, I'm not sure that's the perfect move, unless they have some very solid family-friendly comedy here.
