Learning about Michael Bay's new film makes me wonder whatever happened to Wrath of Man, Guy Ritchie's new film which also involves a large vehicle in its action-filled story. MGM pulled it from this year's schedule and nothing has been heard about it since.

And I can't be the only person who sees the title of Those Who Wish Me Dead and thinks of that other Angelina Jolie film from a few years back, First They Killed My Father. Even though I'm sure they are completely different.

It is a little odd that Wrath of Man was never formally delayed, it just kind of disappeared from the schedule right before its original January 15th release date. MGM must be waiting for the theatrical marketplace to return to some sustainable degree of normalcy to reschedule their smaller titles that were set for the early part of 2021 (which was just Wrath of Man and Dog if I remember correctly). Maybe we'll get a double dose of Guy Ritchie/Jason Statham next year since the STX/Miramax-backed project formerly known as Five Eyes has been filming for a few weeks now.

I don't think Dog ever began filming. Last I read, it was going to be a September shoot but I'm not sure if MGM ever gave it the go-ahead (especially considering how they were focusing on Paul Thomas Anderson's new one around that time).

And I was thinking STX was just doing pick-ups now. They're releasing that Promising Young Woman ripoff Me You Madness later this year (which considering its star/writer/director should be a big possibility for some Worst of 2021 lists).

First Wrong Turn, now Resident Evil. I guess someone really wants 2000's horror to come back.

Marry Me has been delayed yet again to 2/11/2022. It wouldn't surprise me if the other reason for delaying this was the negative response of Owen Wilson's other recent romantic film (the one on Prime with him and Salma Hayek).

I have to imagine this gets dumped onto streaming or PVOD at some point. It couldn't have cost as much as say, The 355.

IMAX is going to be putting that Billie Eilish documentary on their screens. I've seen the trailer for this before a few movies and I can't understand how this is any different than that Justin Bieber documentary that was basically home movies post-converted to 3-D.

Voyagers has been rescheduled for 4/9/2021. I have to imagine it's being dumped at this point.

Meanwhile, it looks like Nimona is dead as Disney has pulled it from their 2022 schedule.

Yeah they announced Nimona was dead when they shut down Blue Sky, along with an Ice Age Disney+ show I believe.

I didn't know they did but it was inevitable that Blue Sky would close. After Pixar and Walt Disney Feature Animation, anything else is basically shit tier or too niche for Disney.

It looks like any future Alien films have been canceled as FX will be doing an Alien series with Noah Hawley as showrunner. Why can this franchise just die?

Anyone wondering where Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum have been lately? Because they are set to star in Lost City of D, which Paramount has scheduled for 4/15/2022. Seeing how it's only in pre-production, that could very well get pushed to later in the year.

Looks like Disney is still releasing Cruella in May, as its poster mentions a May debut. I have to wonder if both this and Black Widow will be theatrical and DIsney+ Premier Access at the same time. On a related note, I could see Free Guy doing what Nomadland is doing and end up on Hulu at the same time or at least appear a few weeks later.
