Sony finally makes a move with some sense! Spider-Man: Far from Home moves up three days to 7/2/2019. I didn't get the idea of opening this after Independence Day.

Meanwhile, The Angry Birds Movie 2 also has a slight move-up to 8/14/2019.

Totes agree. I think Disney's pretty keen on seeing "Far From.Home"'s grosses improve over "Homecoming", too.

("Home" seems to be a theme with the Sony-Disney "Spider-Man" standalone titles. Wonder what the trilogy-capper will be called... "Homebound"?)

The reports of Clint Eastwood retiring might have been premature. He's in talks with Disney to revive The Ballad of Richard Jewell, of which he was attached in the past to direct as a project for Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio. This was last in the works with Ezra Edelman (director of O.J.: Made in America) directing.
