The September 3rd opening of Tenet will not be a truly wide release. Drive-ins will not be allowed to book it if they are in a market where indoor theatres are closed. This is especially puzzling in that the Inception reissue (which flopped partially because you can watch it on Prime for free if you have an account) was booked into drive-ins that were in such markets.

And did you know that there's another remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre coming? Because I found out that it began production last week and they already fired the original directors due to unsatisfactory footage. Any bets on whether or not it will be received worse than Leatherface?

The King's Man has now been indefinitely delayed. I saw the trailer for this last night that included the reshoot footage that was the reason for the previous delay.

It wasn't indefinitely delayed. The new release date is February 26th.

I only saw 2021 in the information and assumed Disney was waiting for situations to improve.

I must wonder if Antlers will change dates now, as that's scheduled for February 19th.

Saint Maud is now opening on September 25th. Let's see if this date sticks.

New Paramount dates:

The United States v. Billie Holliday 2/12/2021 (creating the Aretha vs. Billie Oscar battle that we didn't know we wanted)
G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes 10/22/2021
Clifford the Big Red Dog 11/5/2021
Scream 1/14/2022
Paranormal Activity 7 3/4/2022

Paramount has also announced a remake of A Prophet from the director of Blue Story that could possibly be ready for the next Oscar season. Stephan James will star.

Looks like COVID is getting studios to look into their vaults for old unproduced scripts. MGM has revived an project called The Tree, originally developed for Danny DeVito, with Kevin Hart and Chris Pratt set to star. I'm guessing this will be fast-tracked for next Christmas. Related to MGM, that likely places Paul Thomas Anderson's new one for next September or October.

I have to wonder if The Batman's getting delayed again and if The Suicide Squad takes its date. Production has been shut down again as Robert Pattinson contracted COVID.

Batman is basically a lock to get delayed now barring Pattinson making a swift recovery in a few week's time. Not so sure about Suicide Squad also getting pushed back as a result though. It finished filming in February and its current release date is pretty ideal.

Warner Bros. is basically trying to make the first weekend of October the DC weekend. Joker last year, Wonder Woman 1984 this year, and what was hoped for to be The Batman this year. Black Adam wouldn't work in October as filming won't begin until January (also, Dwayne Johnson has COVID and another delayed production in Red Notice) while everything else would be too soon. The Suicide Squad would be the only film that was continue the theme.

In other news, HBO Max might be retooled into a Peacock-like service with free movies and TV with a certain number of ads. I actually wouldn't mind this.

It looks like The Batman is still shooting for next October. The production has resumed and will film around Pattinson while he's recovering.

Yes, because he's deinfitely the ONLY one infected.

Good to see the folks of Hollywood are maintaining their stereotypes of not giving a shit about anyone.

I hear the same thing is going on in Jurassic World 3 - lots of crew have it.

Apparently, the story is now reported to be false. So what's really going on?

The head of Warner Brothers told Deadline last night that production won't resume until they've completed contact tracing/additional testing. I'm just going to roll with that until it's proven otherwise.
