Feel free to add if I missed anything. Damn...
We all knew it was coming, but damn....
I assume the other studios will now adjust as they feel a bit safer that Disney is going to stick with this
I'm shocked New Mutants didn't get pulled completely and that Disney actually wants to release it theatrically. Wonder if there some contractual stipulations stating that it must.
Also Spies in Disguise got moved to Christmas, but maybe it can do some Ferdinand numbers are something
This damages my hopes for "Call of the Wild", big-time. And hugely boosts the prospects for "Spies in Disguise". [Shrug] The balls roll funny for everyone, kid.
The amount of completed films that Disney is pushing is insane at this point. I think they could easily release most of these within the next 12 months. Hell, that was Disney's mantra in the 90's.
As for Artemis Fowl, Branagh's been a machine lately (since 2014, he's directed five films and all but one's been a big tentpole). Reshoots would force him to delay Death on the Nile's start again.
Reshoots are certainly possible with the release being a year away. Regardless, I'm not going to touch it next year either . Disney's non MCU/Star Wars live action titles have seemingly all bombed of late.
I don't think "Ad Astra"'s date shift is going to have any impact on "Rambo: Last Blood", to be honest. Maybe a million or so. They're both adult-oriented dramatic fare, but there's not a ton of overlap in their prospective audiences, I don't think
Gonna leave my $42M outlook for "Rambye" alone for now.
Thanks for minding the store, btw, SPECTRE. Boushh does good work with this responsibility, we all owe y'all for bringing these moves to our prompt attention. It sure makes for a fairer and more compelling game!

I hear ya. I just figure Stallone's profile is higher the last few years, and that "Rambo" has more of a following than does "Hellboy". It would not surprise me to see "Last Blood" stay in the low $30s. But I don't believe it can do less than that, too much of a known quantity. If they try and recreate some of the compelling and timely narratives of, say, the "Sicario" films, it could build some word of mouth and do much better. But I don't think I'm looking at a blockbuster, by any means.
