Who was asking for a third My Big Fat Greek Wedding? The second one wasn't even that popular.

The second one wasn't very good, but it still made a decent amount of money (almost 100 m worldwide, which is a pretty sharp drop from the original, but still a decent sum for a movie that probably didn't cost much), so I can see why Universal might want to make another. It will probably drop pretty harshly from the second, though (I doubt it will make more than 50 m worldwide).

Seeing how Magic Mike's Last Dance did, it would make more sense to make My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 a Peacock exclusive and have the Richard Curtis Christmas comedy that's going to be on Peacock be a theatrical title. Curtis has more theatrical viability than Nia Vardalos ever did.

A sequel to Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, subtitled To The Swordsmith Village, arrives on March 3rd. The last one grossed nearly $50 million so this could hit at least half that with bigger competition.

And The Pope's Exorcist has been pushed a week to April 14th.

Sisu is opening on April 28th, apparently wide. Would this be the first Finnish language film ever given a wide release in the US?

Unsurprisingly considering that Amazon/MGM is releasing Air wide the same week and the lack of a trailer, On a Wing and a Prayer has shifted to a streaming release via Prime on April 7th.

I knew it would be a Prime exclusive, given that the film was Mark Burnett's pet project and he's no longer at MGM.

Who wants to be it ends up being more popular than 95% of the theatrically-released Evangelical films?

I don't know about whether it is the first Finnish language film to be given a wide release, but I wouldn't think Lionsgate would want to release two films on the same day (even if they are very different in terms of genre/target audience). That being said, they have so many films already on the schedule that they probably can't find release dates for many more films  .

Are You There God, It's Margaret?, even with the prestige, isn't going to take off. The Edge of Seventeen flopped and despite being an adaptation of a classic novel, Margaret largely looks like a retread of that one.

And Lionsgate has released two titles wide in one day before. Roadside will often put out titles the same day as Lionsgate does.

The latest Disney live-action remake few were asking for, Peter Pan & Wendy, arrives on April 28th. It makes you wonder why Disney did this when they already released a little-seen Peter Pan update, Wendy, three years earlier.

Also, Captain Hook and Mr. Darling are played by different actors for some bizarre reason.
