Good, I can now retire that joke.

I have a feeling that it all came down to money. The film took 20 years to get made. The people behind it probably wanted a million for every year it was in the works.

Avengers: Endgame will be relaunched next Friday with even more footage at the end. Wasn't it already long enough?

Related to Disney, the 6/19/2020 Pixar movie is titled Soul.

Meanwhile, Limited Partners is now titled Hostile Makeover.

I'm surprised Disney is releasing two Pixar movies within 3 months. I assumed that date was a placeholder for if they needed to push Onward back to the summer.

It looks like The Art of Self-Defense will expand wide on July 19th. I have a feeling this might be too niche for a mainstream audience (and a lot of people expecting a run-of-the-mill revenge film will more than likely miss the satire).

Meanwhile in the lazy title department, the Kingsman prequel will be called The King's Man.

The film is being portrayed as a darkly comedic satire on MRA-type "toxic masculinity", so I doubt audiences will be going into it expecting a typical vigilante film.

The next Halloween is rumored to be opening on 10/16/2020. Filming will begin in September with David Gordon Green set to return as director.

Paul Thomas Anderson's new short film ANIMA - in concurrence to the Thom Yorke album being released a day later - is screening in select IMAX theaters before going to Netflix.

I would go if there were any IMAX-equipped theaters near me that would run Netflix movies.

Looks like Brahms: The Boy II has been pushed from late July to December 6. I'm not hopeful it will have a much bigger audience in winter, but as 12/6 didn't have a wide release scheduled yet, it's possible. If it can pulled in the $42M Krampus did a few years ago, I'll be happy.

No way it was going to make the July date. It only started filming in February.

And if Black Christmas is ready in six months (I'm thinking it won't), that will kill any chance of Brahms (which might as well be called Annabelle 5) making money.

I never mentioned this one but I found that we're getting a biopic on the Williams tennis family, titled King Richard, on 11/25/2020.

Sure, you've got the resurgent Will Smith playing the father, but is a movie that glorifies stage parent mentality appropriate in this day and age? Especially with LaVar Ball being back in the news lately with his antics.

Edit: All Rise has been pushed back to 11/22/2019 (from 9/27/2019). I'm also convinced it will get another new title due to the CBS series of the same name coming.

Fair and Balanced is now titled Bombshell. Now, how is Lionsgate going to sell a film where Megyn Kelly is depicted as a sympathetic figure?

Amazon's Netflixing of certain titles continues. The Joseph Gordon-Levitt thriller 7500 will bypass theatres completely while there is a rumor Brittany Runs a Marathon will hit Prime after a few weeks (I figured as much after I noticed the trailer showed "Amazon Original" above the title).

Oddly, Honey Boy is still scheduled as a traditional release.

Is One Child Nation still being released theatrically?
