Ron's Gone Wrong might also be vaporware at this point. This was supposed to the first film from a new animation studio but we haven't seen a thing from it and it's been on the schedule for what, five years now?

And Bob's Burgers has to be going to Hulu now. The fanbase only discovered the show through streaming and the track record of animated TV shows going to the screen hasn't been good in recent years.

Oh, and A Quiet Place Part II has been pushed to 9/17/2021. Considering that the premiere was almost a year ago and Paramount decided to save the third SpongeBob (which has been released everywhere but the US and a few other countries) for their streaming service, it might be for the best if they used this one to launch Paramount+ instead of playing it in theatres.

Edit: because IMAX is desperate for product, Nomadland will get a blow-up run on January 29th.

Some good news for once: Netflix has settled the rights issues with Abel Gance's Napoleon and plans to debut a new restoration in May. This version runs seven hours.

Solstice has taken Joe Bell out of award contention and has not given a new date. I have to imagine they'll try to go wide in late summer or early fall, considering the $20 million they spent on it.

Meanwhile, Sony is still trying to make Escape Room 2 happen as it will now open on 1/7/2022.

I'm beginning to wonder if the statement of "no new movies until the vaccine" actually meant "no new movies until movie theatres can operate at 100% capacity again". That might take years and by then, we still will have to sit through the trailer for A Quiet Place Part II.

As curious as I am to see just how much different Snyder's version is than Whedon's, that 4 hour runtime could end up being a dealbreaker.

Apparently, it's going to be released in multiple parts, kind of like how Netflix released the expanded Hateful Eight (and I have to imagine how the restored Napoleon will be made available). But I agree, there is no need for something like this be four hours. At two hours, it felt excessive.
