So it looks like that extra hour is bonus material from the Blu-ray and DVD release. IMDb TV did something similar with Cloud Atlas.

In other news, Apple has stepped in to co-finance Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon with Paramount, outbidding Netflix. The reported budget will be well over $200 million.

Just as I figured, Hulu will premiere Palm Springs exclusively on July 10th. Neon may still show it at a few drive-ins.

There's a rumor going around that Mulan might end up on Disney+. With nearly $300 million already spent on the film, I'd be surprised if it didn't play theatrically.

Maybe it's just another excuse not to release Magic Camp (yes, this is my new Burden).

I think Mulan will do theatres. It kinda has to, unless it comes out in June and aims for Trolls numbers. But if it comes out in July it will be safe

San Francisco, one of the hardest hit areas, will not reopen theatres until mid-August, meaning that if Unhinged, Tenet, and Mulan all keep their dates, they will not play there until later.

On the other hand, New York City will begin to allow soft reopens as early as June 8th.

We’re allowed to open theaters here with restrictions, but the only one I know that’s open is a drive in that’s playing American Graffiti all weekend.

It’s all AMC and Regal around here and I don’t think they’re opening until July.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I wish a theatre near me would revive American Graffiti. The only 70's movies that ever seem to come back here in regular rotation are Blazing Saddles and whatever horror movie is popular at the moment.

The nearest drive-in finally reopened but I've already seen the movies they are showing theatrically (Twister and Ghostbusters).

The High Note is playing at a few drive-ins in addition to being on demand, which suggests that King of Staten Island and Irresistible will also get a few drive-ins to run them. Arkansas also got a belated drive-in run a few weeks after its on-demand premiere.

Interesting to hear the drive-ins in your area are playing classics. Most locations I've heard about online are playing current IFC titles like The Wretched alongside Trolls: World Tour and stuff that was playing before the theater shutdown (Bad Boys for Life, Bloodshot, etc.). Out of curiosity, I checked what the lone MA drive-in that I'm aware of (roughly 2 hours from me) is playing right now and they are following the formula of the other theaters I've heard about online with Sonic the Hedgehog/Jumanji: The Next Level and The Invisible Man/The Hunt double bills.

I'm amazed that The Hunt is still playing as a second feature. In a regular, non-COVID situation, this would have been gone by the end of March.

Meanwhile, I have to wonder if there will be an attempt to release The Wretched wide once theatres as a whole reopen. The film has done very well for IFC in all distribution platforms.

Ignore the HSX posts about projects being canceled. It's a troll with multiple accounts spamming the forum to manipulate virtual stocks.

An American Pickle will premiere on HBO Max on August 6th. Who wants to bet Sony would have dumped this one into a few markets way later had they held onto it?

In the department of "why does this exist?", Universal has greenlighted five horror films inspired by Unfriended. Did anyone bother with the official sequel a few years back?
