Eddie Huang's movie's finally coming out. Focus has scheduled Boogie for 3/5/2021.

Meanwhile, Nobody's been pushed a week to 2/26/2021. That last week before the Oscar deadline is looking crowded.

Raya is not premiere access. It is included in the Disney Plus membership.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I have to imagine Antlers is getting sold off now. Disney didn't really seem to have any interest in releasing a film about Wendigo.

Well, damn. I just reread the article. It said Raya was going to be released like Soul, which I thought meant free with subscription. When I look at Disney's twitter, that's obviously not the case.

Monster Hunter is getting a one week IMAX run on Friday. I might actually see it blown up to large (or should I say monster-sized?) proportions.

Can't be any worse than some of the other actor-penned horror films (Remember that movie Natalie Dormer wrote? Or the one written by the Prison Break guy?).

Back to the dates, Mortal Kombat has been pushed to 4/16/2021, suggesting that Judas and the Black Messiah will open on Kombat's old date of 1/15/2021. Meanwhile, Focus has slotted Robin Wright's Land, which sounds very similar to the Oscar favorite Nomadland, on 2/12/2021.

Oscar-related moves:

Nomadland 2/19/2021 (general release after a one week virtual-only run earlier this month)
Joe Bell (formerly Good Joe Bell, the new title brings to mind the John Carter debacle years ago) 2/19/2021
Everybody's Talking About Jamie TBA 2021 (from 2/19/2021)

A24 has dated Zola for June 30th and The Green Knight for July 30th.

Additionally, Nine Days is set for a Summer 2021 release.

Does anyone know what is happening with The Night House? There's been no word on it.

Disney didn't get a chance to date it after they acquired it from Sundance and save for Nomadland, no Searchlight titles have a specific date, so it's just kind of stuck in limbo for the time being.

Zola would seem like the kind of film that would do better on streaming than theatrical. I'm surprised A24 didn't sell it off.

As for The Night House, I can't be the only person who confuses it with The Night Clerk, that critical flop that hit Netflix earlier this year. I bet Disney dumps it like they did A Hidden Life ($14 million spent on that one and it got overshadowed by the studio in favor of Jojo Rabbit).

Wasn't A Hidden Life acquired before Fox Searchlight was purchased? I can't imagine Malick and Disney would meet eye-to-eye on its release considering they are aiming at very different audiences.
