That's a pretty dumb move for Diary. They just forced Furry Vengeance to move, now they go to a weekend that has about 9 movie opening wide?

This is going to be hilarious if Clash ends up staying on 3/26.

And another date change:

The Back-Up Plan 4/23/2010 (from 4/16/2010) (God, why don't they just send this one straight to DVD?)

Because I drafted it... That's why!

I always questioned whether two big-budget films like Clash and Dragon would open on the same day. And since DreamWorks owned the last weekend of March last year, I figured it would be Clash to blink first.

So, just to catch up on how March-April look now (for wide releases):

3/5: Alice in Wonderland
3/12: Green Zone, Remember Me, She's Out of My League, Our Family Wedding
3/19: The Bounty Hunter, Season of the Witch, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Runaways
3/26: How to Train You Dragon, Hot Tub Time Machine
4/2: Clash of the Titans, Why Did I Get Married Too, Repo Men, The Last Song (3/31.. a Tuesday? Really? Is it Miley's Bday or something?)
4/9: Date Night, The Losers
4/16: Kick Ass, Death at a Funeral
4/23: Macgruber, Wall Street 2, The Back-Up Plan
4/30: Nightmare on Elm Street, Furry Vengeance

Anyone think we're done playing musical chairs?

You forgot Brooklyn's Finest on the 5th and Oceans on April 22nd, Shryke.

I expect two more delays to occur: on Our Family Wedding (to another dumping ground month) and on The Losers (to Summer).

Shryke - It's kind of tough to change your movies on the slates now with the prices being incorrect for the Jan-Mar leagues. Plus, without knowing what the correct prices are, you have no way of knowing if you can afford movie after you drop one like Clash of the Titans.

You're preaching to the choir, Keyser. However, if I remember correctly without checking my notes, you should be able to switch Clash for Dragon with a little minor shuffling. Of course, if you already had that one, you'll have to think of something else.

Don't fret. The end of March is still a ways away. This problem should be fixed (and I say that with as much alacrity as I can muster) long before then.

New release date:

The Kids Are All Right 7/7/2010 (not about The Who, but a comedy with Julianne Moore and Annette Bening)

I still expect Repo Men to move, maybe to 4/23 because it's pretty free of any guy-centric movies.

New release dates:

The Secret Of Kells 3/12/2010 (this was reported by the film's distributor)
Takers 8/20/2010 (from 5/14/2010)
Easy A 9/17/2010 (surprisingly enough this was not produced by Maxim despite having the same director and studio who did Fired Up, a movie that was basically made to sell issues of Maxim)
Priest 1/14/2011 (from 8/20/2010)
The Roommate 2/4/2011 (from 9/17/2010)
Underworld 4 9/23/2011 (from 1/21/2011)

And Repo Men moves up two weeks to 3/19/2010. Could this force another change on that date? My best guess is that Season Of The Witch is pushed back or The Runaways gets reduced to a limited release followed by a later wide date.
