New release date:

Untitled Animated Spider-Man Movie 7/20/2018

Lord and Miller left The Lego Movie 2 to make this for Sony (who retained animated rights while Disney got live-action rights). Sounds like Sony wants their answer to Lego Batman.

Also from Sony...

The Fifth Wave 1/15/2016 (from 1/29/2016)
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies 2/5/2016 (from 2/19/2016)

Meanwhile, Sony has finally greenlighted The Equalizer 2. Despite the first film making a profit ($192 million worldwide on a $55 million budget plus a healthy post-theatrical gross from home video and VOD), the sequel had been in doubt due to the previous Sony regime not thinking Denzel Washington could sell a film internationally.

After six years on the shelf (and several sets of reshoots), Paramount will finally release Area 51 on 5/15/2015 exclusively at Alamo Drafthouse theatres as well as VOD.

Meanwhile, more new dates:
Entourage 6/3/2015 (from 6/5/2015)
Freeheld (Julianne Moore/Ellen Page drama) 10/2/2015
Warcraft 6/10/2016 (from 3/11/2016)
The Best Man Wedding TBA 2016 (from 4/15/2016)
Mena (Tom Cruise arms race drama) 1/6/2017
50 Shades Darker 2/10/2017
The Mummy 3/24/2017 (from 6/24/2016)
Furious 8 4/14/2017
Pacific Rim 2 8/4/2017 (from 4/7/2017)
50 Shades Freed 2/9/2018
Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Film (I believe this is the Tom Cruise as Van Helsing movie) 3/30/2018 (from 4/21/2017)

And Relativity has finally scheduled Shaun the Sheep Movie for 8/7/2015. Relativity's likely to do some summer shuffling now (possibly canceling The Bronze's wide run and either placing Masterminds at July 31st or pushing it back a few weeks).

Also, two more dates:
He Called Me Malala (new documentary from Waiting for Superman's director) 10/2/2015
Grimsby 3/4/2016 (from 2/26/2016)

New release dates:

American Ultra 8/21/2015
We Are Your Friends (Zac Efron and EDM) 8/28/2015
The 33 11/13/2015 (originally at Fox, Warner Bros. will now release the film)
Criminal 1/22/2016 (from 8/21/2015)
Dirty Grandpa 2/26/2016 (from 8/11/2016)
Gods of Egypt 4/8/2016 (from 2/12/2016)
La La Land 7/15/2016
Ouija 2 10/21/2016
Power Rangers 1/13/2017 (from 7/15/2016)
Ghost in the Shell 3/31/2017 (from 4/21/2017)

Meanwhile, Shaun the Sheep Movie will be now released by Lionsgate instead of Relativity.

Also, IFC is opening The D Train (which was panned at Sundance) wide on May 8th. I don't think this is a wise investment with that Boyhood money.

It seems Paramount has pushed Monster Trucks back to 3/18/16. That sandwiches it between Zootopia and The Jungle Book. At least it's got a couple of weeks (or so) on either side.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has scheduled Barbershop 3 for 2/19/2016. I expected this would go to at least June.

Also, Paramount has officially removed Beverly Hills Cop 4 from 3/25/2016 to an undetermined date (possibly Summer or Fall 2016). It looks like Eddie Murphy got his wish for more rewrites.

How did they get Jennifer Garner involved with one of those?

Anyway, Fox has scheduled Gore Verbinski's new film, A Cure for Wellness, for 9/23/2016. Looks like he's going small (it's a horror film) after the failure of The Lone Ranger.

A new distributor named Atlas Distribution has picked up Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert and will open wide in late September. I believe this will be the first Herzog film to achieve a wide release.

And considering the review it's been getting, probably the last.

Neophyte distributors are always bizarre about titles to go wide. A24 still surprises me with some of their wide release choices.

In other news, Untitled Lance Armstrong Project is now titled The Program and footage was screened to distributors at Cannes. Studiocanal is hoping for a late 2015 release (after being delayed from last year).
