New dates:

Monsters: Dark Continent 4/17/2015
The Moon and the Sun TBA 2015 (from 4/10/2015) (apparently, this may move to May or June as Paramount wants something out before Terminator: Genisys)

So The Longest Ride is all by its lonesome? Furious 7 is going to kill in April. I mean, it was going to do that anyway, but with its competition falling away, it may do even better than Cap 2 did last year.

The Longest Ride could do well also, especially in the South (you can't get more Southern than a love story with a professional bull rider).

And one new date:
Mr. Holmes 7/17/2015

Also, Somnia has gotten a new title in advance of its 5/8/2015 date. It's now titled Before I Wake. Now where is that trailer?

New date:

Star Wars: Rogue One 5/26/2017

With a name and lead (Felicity Jones) confirmed, the next step is to find out which movie Rian Johnson will rip off and put through a pretty filter.

Well, if he does what he did with Looper and rip off lesser movies to make a great one, then I'm all for it!

Rogue One is the one Gareth Edwards is doing with Felicity Jones. Rian Johnson is doing Episode VIII with the cast from VII I assume. It was kind of a double news dropping the name of one and the date of another.

Rogue One opens 12/16/16
Episode VIII opens 5/26/17 (forty years to the day of A New Hope)
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I got the director listing from HSX. They must have listed the incorrect stock code.

New release dates:

Self/Less 7/10/2015 (from 7/31/2015)
Trumbo (Bryan Cranston tries for an Oscar) 11/6/2015
Keeping Up with the Joneses (the director of Superbad and Adventureland tries a spy comedy) 4/1/2016
Eddie the Eagle (sports comedy based on a true story) 4/29/2016
Beauty and the Beast (Emma Watson is Belle, Dan Stevens is the Beast) 3/17/2017

Meanwhile, Focus has picked up Suffragette for distribution and will open this fall. Looks like Focus will be keeping its arthouse origins instead of turning into a Blumhouse sequel farm.

After rumors that suggested It Follows would premiere on demand March 27th (two weeks after its limited debut), The Weinstein Company has delayed such plans and will instead go wide on that date. This will be the first Radius title to play nationwide (the previous widest run for a Radius title was Snowpiercer's 356 theatres).

I'm not surprised given the PTA numbers it made. It's great news, the film is worth it.

Mission: Impossible 5 has just announced its full title with its trailer: Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. And despite the need for a new ending, it will stay at 7/31/2015.

In other news, The Avengers: Age of Ultron has a rumored run time of 170 minutes. Looks like it could be playing on at least 15,000-20,000 screens opening weekend just to get it to hit the first one's opening (the first ran on 11,800 screens opening weekend but ran 143 minutes).

The Untitled Blumhouse Thriller (the one opening on July 31st) is now titled The Gift. I was hoping they'd revert to the working title of Weirdo.

Meanwhile, New Line has signed on to distribute Barbershop 3 in the US. Yes, there's a Barbershop 3 in the works.

And new dates:
A Little Chaos 5/8/2015 (from TBA 2015)
Dope 6/19/2015 (from 6/12/2015)
The Prophet (animated anthology film based on a book of poetry) 8/7/2015
Suffragette 10/23/2015
God's Not Dead 2 (the sequel no one asked for) 3/23/2016
The Founder (Michael Keaton is Ray Kroc in the biopic no one asked for) 11/25/2016
