To change the basics of a film who's fourth installment opened to a $70 M + weekend in April (almost $30 M more than the #2 April opener ever) would be completely ludicrous. A studio that does that is destined to fail. And they probably chose Fast Five because Furious Five is already taken... Either way the only decent title was the first installment.

Can't you just have fun with something and not act like an economist all the time? These movies are quite ridiculous, like with the Airport movies (and of course, we got a spoof out of those movies).

Ludicrou5 could also work as a title.

Two new release dates:

Leaves Of Grass 4/2/2010 (from 3/26/2010)
Splice 6/4/2010 (could Warner Bros. be pushing back Jonah Hex to open this movie?)

The title got changed mainly because test audiences hated the title The Baster. However, the old title makes a lot more sense than the new one. (The movie is about a woman who artifically inseminates herself with a turkey baster, hence The Baster. The new title makes no sense since there doesn't seem to be any sort of switch according to the plot. Also, The Switch sounds more like a thriller title.)

From the IMDb synopsis, Jason Bateman switches sperm with DNA she picked out with his own sperm and he tells her 7 years later... So that's where it comes from.

It had better have a great trailer is all I can say!

And The Runaways is back on at March 19th, but as a limited release in 225 theatres (I'm guessing it's just the Top 10 markets, Apparition has done some pretty wide select markets). April 9th is the wide release (said to be an expansion to 1,000 theatres).

New Release Dates:

The Runaways: no longer opening wide on April 9th
I Love You, Phillip Morris 5/7/2010 (from 4/30/2010)
The Concert: 7/16/2010
The Tillman Story (formerly The Pat Tillman Story): 8/20/2010
The Last Exorcism (The Exorcist meets Paranormal Activity, produced by Eli Roth): 8/27/2010
Buried: 9/24/2010
Nowhere Boy: 10/8/2010
My Soul To Take (formerly 25/8): 10/29/2010
The Next Three Days: 11/19/2010
The King's Speech: 11/26/2010
Casino Jack (not the documentary but a scripted version of the same story): 12/3/2010
Blue Valentine: 12/31/2010
Friends With Benefits (the film that might get Ivan Reitman fired from Ghostbusters 3): 1/7/2011
Scream 4: 4/15/2011
Smurfs in 3-D: 8/3/2011
Spy Kids 4 in 3-D: 8/19/2011
The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn in 3-D: 12/23/2011
Untitled Godzilla Project: 2012 (yes, another American attempt at Godzilla)
21 Jump Street: Winter 2012 (from 8/5/2011, possibly being delayed so they can give Johnny Depp something to do)

It's interesting to note that half of the films here are titles from the near-insolvent Weinstein Company and the on-the-market (to a guy who's only interested in stripping down the company and trashing its movies*) Lionsgate.

*- Yes, Carl Icahn actually trashed the movies of a company that's he's trying to buy. He trashed Killers because of middling early word and its $75 million budget while at the same time, he's trying to drop nearly a billion on said company.
