Pure Flix has returned as a distributor and will be releasing a movie based on The Last Supper on March 14th.

Following the success of Asteroid City, Wes Anderson will once again be teaming up with Focus as they've landed the WW rights to The Phoenician Scheme. It's been set for a limited release on May 30th and will expand wide on June 6th.

The Comeback Trail is finally getting an American release nearly five years after its premiere. Variance Films is doing a quick theatrical playoff on the 21st before it inevitably hits VOD and streaming.

After the Hunt will open limited on October 10th and expand wide on October 17th.

The rights for The History of Sound have been picked up by MUBI (US) and Focus/Universal (International). Expect a Cannes or Venice debut for this one.

Disney has moved Elio to June 20th, leaving the How To Train Your Dragon remake as the film to keep the Father's Day release date.

James L. Brooks's Ella McCay will be released on September 19th. I assumed it would be a Christmas Day release, but it seems like Disney/20th Century is going earlier in the year to capitalize off of a TIFF premiere.

Sam Raimi's Send Help will be released on January 30th, 2026. Loving the trend of movies with some potential opening around my birthday .

There is also an Untitled Disney Movie dated for October 24th.

I guess Disney has that big money loser the YouTube grifters insist they always make. Ella McCay probably has a $150 million budget and will be lucky to make $25 million worldwide.

Drafthouse Films is releasing the Andy Kaufman documentary Thank You Very Much on March 28th. This played the festival circuit nearly two years ago but despite solid reviews, had difficulty in getting a distributor.

Speaking of documentaries on comedians, Cheech & Chong's Last Movie will premiere at 4:20 pm on of course, April 20th, before getting a limited theatrical release on April 25th.

In a surprising move, Lionsgate will be releasing the critically panned Riff Raff wide. This was initially planned as a day-and-date title under the Grindstone label.

Spider-Man 4 blinks in the game of which movie would move between it and The Odyssey. Tom Holland's latest spin in the role will now open a week later on 7/31/2026.

Meanwhile, I wonder if Beyond the Spider-Verse is still going to open next year, as it would be bizarre for two separate Spider-Man movies to open in the same year.

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii (April 24th and 27th only)

The fact that The Alto Knights and The Chosen are getting IMAX runs shows how desperate chains are getting for product. Meanwhile, Live at Pompeii has become hard-to-find in recent years unless you go on YouTube for a rip of the DVD so that might of interest to some.
