Possibly encouraged by Warner Bros. and Marvel previously having success in September, Paramount has pushed their next Transformers prequel, Transformers One, to 9/13/2024 (from 7/19/2024). With Toy Story 4 helmer Josh Cooley co-writing and directing, it seems to be more like Bumblebee than the forthcoming Rise of the Beasts.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned but I saw Sony is releasing a movie called The Miracle Club on July 14th, featuring the unexpected screen teaming of Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates, and Laura Linney. If Sony does a decent ad campaign, it could do okay results.

I guess M3gan made putting numbers in titles a thing again. The Expendables 4 is now titled Expend4bles.

It seems like it took years for The Boys in the Boat to get made. The project had been floating around for a decade before it finally got produced. And it's been finished for quite a while, which seems to suggest the reception will be like Clooney's last two directorial efforts: mixed to middling.

Another spinoff no one asked for: Netflix has scheduled Bird Box Barcelona for a July 14th premiere. I bet you'd all forgotten about the original.

I never thought they'd remake Moana. That's going to be easily a $300 million production, given the location shooting and James Cameron-esque visual effects sequences.

And I figured Alien: Romulus was going to end up being a theatrical release. Seeing how stupid Disney was to make Prey a Hulu exclusive and how much they love the more-respected Alien franchise, you knew it wouldn't stay a streaming title for long.

Apparently, Amazon is releasing After Everything. Fathom Events distributed the previous entry.

I'm really surprised Lionsgate is going ahead with releasing Cobweb next month. They only started the ad campaign yesterday.

It would make more sense as a September release.
