That's a film I really want to see.

Sadly, when I do it won't contribute to your BO score, Tranny.

Sadly? I don't think anybody here wants to help out my BO totals in this game after the last 2 years

I’m fresh out of ideas so I’ll take Dear Santa… again. Haven’t heard a peep on this one since it was announced in spring of 2023 but supposedly it’s in post-production and Jack Black is on a bit of a heater now. If it doesn’t get a date, I’ll be an easy drop.

For my final pick, I will take Cuckoo,
It's not destroying. It's making something new.

To close it out, I'll take something that's still filming but Sony doesn't have anything scheduled between January and May of next so hopefully it'll land somewhere in there: SNL75

Hopefully it can be the return of good Jason Reitman and not whatever Ghostbuster bs he's been doing for the last few years

I can't recall the last time Jason Reitman made a good movie. If he didn't have a famous father, he'd be nothing more than the director of some episodes of forgettable sitcoms.

As for the premise, this sounds as unnecessary as that David O. Russell project about the creation of the Madden games that was in the works. Will Ferrell was going to play everyone's favorite color commentator.

I will take the almost literally just announced Power Ballad. If and when it ever comes out - I'm at least personally excited for that one. Love the director, so he'll get my money. Which is more than I can say for about half my slate :)

The Wedding Singer remake not a lot of people were asking for. And it feels like the director's been making the same movie for nearly two decades.

Meanwhile, let's hope Ron makes his final pick this year.

Yep, it's exactly like his last few films. Carney makes Wes Anderson look like John Huston.

Man, you guys are getting really brazen with the films that don't have confirmed theatrical distribution this year! You're braver souls than I

The strikes have led to a barren release slate, leading everyone to scramble for those diamonds in the rough.

I know why it's happening; I just can't help but have a visceral reaction to it as somebody who is averse to taking big swings.

I look at it as taking a big swing on the first pitch instead of bunting. Sure, you’re less likely to get a hit but if you do get it, you’re thrilled. And worst case, you still have 2 more strikes (the waiver wire)

Yes, I think I'll take a stab at my last pick this year. And since everyone else has gone full TBD I'll take a wild swing. Prob won't be ready but whoopdi-do, I'll try Eddington

Alright. I promised myself not to take more than 3 films without release dates. I've got 2 for now. Let's make it three.
But the film has a distrib, is in post-prod, and Lionsgate has started promoting it with good effects at CinemaCon where it made a name for itself. I thought I had missed my window, but it's still available

I'll finish with Aziz Ansari's comedy Good Fortune.
