Glad to you have back Chien. And not posting standings updates for 4 months was probably the lone positive of your extended absence for everybody outside of a certain someone....

Chien, if I get Park Chan Wook and Bong Joon-Ho to attend next year's fest, can you discount Barbie and Taylor Swift from the game?

Standings (up until December 10)

Alright, time has long come for an update on this. Sorry I’ve been out for so long, but now, it’s back for weekly updates ! To be clear, this is the update with last weekend’s numbers, with the December 8 releases. It took me quite some time to update everyone’s slates and numbers after a 3 month hiatus.

So. Of course, Tranny crossed the billion bar, way ahead of everyone else. He’s #1 now, and should remain there till the end, so much for the suspense !
Behind him, it’s a tight group. Screen is holding firmly on the silver medal, while Spectre made a great push in a trimester. Walleye and Skrykemi follow with solid numbers. Ron closes that part of the follower’s group.
And then way behind we have a group of three poor souls lost in limbo, Banks, with a slate of great potential yet to open, Six, who’ll have a hard time getting much higher, and myself, who can rely on having very few films released, only four since May, but I have two good contenders opening soon, but not much beyond those.

After the standings, I’ve put an update on all the films that have been over since my last update in September, and the traditional upcoming releases.

I’ve also updated the first post of this thread with - if I didn't make mistakes - all the right slates and numbers updates. Let me know if I made a mistake in one of your slates.

Standings (up until December 17)

It’s already time for another update that essentially marks the arrival of <Wonka in the game, helping Spectre getting closer to Screen. Elsewhere, not much movement as the BO was quite slow. Tranny is still very much first, and I’m still very much last. Here’s hoping Aquaman and The Color Purple can bring a little sparkle in my slate.

1. Trannyspeare - $1,077,059,745 (3 films - Hunger Games, Next Goal Wins, Barbie)
2. Screenspeare - $782,859,062 (1 film - Wish)

4. Walleyespeare - $620,901,655 (3 films - The Marvels, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer)
5. Shrykespearemi - $607,718,903 (3 films - American Fiction, The Boy and the Heron, Priscilla)
6. Ronspeare - $537,600,358 (1 film - Thanksgiving)
7. Bankspeare - $308,035,601 (2 films - Napoleon, Journey to Bethlehem, Elemental)
8. Sixspeare - $296,317,451 (2 films - Poor Things, Renaissance)
9. Chienspeare - $255,769,835 (1 film, The Holdovers)

Standings (up until December 31)

Here’s a post-holidays update, and there’s been some movement. The success of Wonka has helped Spectre get above Screen and passed $800M. Of course, Tranny has nothing to worry about, as Migration keeps his slate healthy.Walleye is still solidly in 4th. Downunder, even if Aquaman’s numbers are nothing to brag about, they are enough, added to The Color Purple’s ones, to get me from 9th to 7th.
And now, we’re entering 2024, and with it, the last 4 months of the game, gentlemen.

1. Trannyspeare - $1,145,651,641 (3 films - Migration, Hunger Games, Barbie)
2. Spectrespeare - $817,226,477 (3 films - Wonka, Silent Night, Trolls Band Together)
3. Screenspeare - $789,232,616 (1 film - Wish)
4. Walleyespeare - $668,409,136 (5 films - The Boys in the Boat, Anyone But You, The Marvels, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer)
5. Shrykespearemi - $638,261,149 (4 films - The Iron Claw, All of Us Strangers, American Fiction, The Boy and the Heron)
6. Ronspeare - $537,971,211 (1 film - Thanksgiving)
7. Chienspeare - $377,295,940 (3 films, The Color Purple, Aquaman, The Holdovers)
8. Bankspeare - $322,476,827 (3 films - Ferrari, Napoleon, Journey to Bethlehem)
9. Sixspeare - $306,776,619 (2 films - Poor Things, Renaissance)

The following films appear to be done :
Five Nights at Freddy’s (Spectre, 7th round, a steal !) = $137,275,620
Priscilla (Shrykemi, great for 10th round) = $20,864,910
Next Goal Wins (Tranny, 9th round) = $6,713,826

Standings (up until January 7)

Positions are the same as last week. Of note, Trolls Band Together just crossed $100M, which means Spectre now has 4 films above that line, along with The Little Mermaid, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Wonka. But Tranny has a strong shot at joining him in that club. Walleye, Ron and Six all have just one, which seems kinda crazy when you look at the standings.

1. Trannyspeare - $1,186,517,175 (4 films - Migration, Hunger Games, Taylor Swift, Barbie)
2. Spectrespeare - $851,356,748 (2 films - Wonka, Trolls Band Together)
3. Screenspeare - $791,266,017 (1 film - Wish)
4. Walleyespeare - $699,067,753 (4 films - The Boys in the Boat, Anyone But You, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer)
5. Shrykespearemi - $651,920,347 (4 films - The Iron Claw, All of Us Strangers, American Fiction, The Boy and the Heron)
6. Ronspeare - $537,991,369 (1 film - Thanksgiving)
7. Chienspeare - $411,545,632 (3 films, The Color Purple, Aquaman, The Holdovers)
8. Bankspeare - $328,325,042 (2 films - Ferrari, Napoleon)
9. Sixspeare - $311,026,675 (1 film - Poor Things)

The following films appear to be done :

The Marvels (Walleye, 1st round) = $84,500,223
Renaissance (Six, WW) = $33,543,425
Silent Night (Spectre, WW) = $8,012,103
Journey to Bethlehem (Banks, 9th round) = $6,820,796

Another slow week as, in a shocking turn of events, Miller’s Girl’s release didn’t send me to the Moon. Next weekend, at last a film will bring in some cash… although it’s for Tranny so it won’t make much of a difference in the standings.
