2023-24 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE

Post by Chienfantome »

Here we are, gentlemen, the rankings are set, Banks is re-joining us this year, and as the newbie, per usual, gets to the bottom of the line. We are 9 players this season, which means that keeping it to 12 rounds like last year, we will have to pick 108 films in the coming days. You all know the game. To each his turn, follow the order, once your turn has come, you have exactly 12 hours to make your pick. If not, the person behind you will be able to pick, so don't be late. For the first round, we allow more time, as everyone may not be totally aware that this is begnning now.

I've sent and email to Ron, but we'll still have to wait it's daytime in Perth.
The rankings are pretty good to us, as the only Australian will make his picks 2 by 2, and the two Europeans follow each other. It should make for a smooth pace.

No. I don't even recognize the industry anymore and it feels like that the only movies that get pushed nowadays are what a boy in junior high wants to watch. The lineup that has the most violent or brainless movies is the one that's going to win.

Why bother?

Alright, Boosch, as you want. Once we'll have done the first round, I'll rearrange the first post to remove you from the schedule.
In the meantime, it's Shryke's turn.

I'll take The Little Mermaid. I think these live action remakes are lazy cash grabs and this one is certainly polarizing folks but literally everything with a high projection is either a sequel or a superhero movie... Guess I'll take the one being talked about the most.

I mean, I feel like it's been this way for a while now lol. Just get the superhero/reboot rounds out of the way early and then you can have fun making some eclectic picks. I do think the superhero backlash is starting to build a bit though which I love to see.

We're obviously a week or so away from its creation, but I just wanted to state that I'm going to retain my post as waiver wire manager this year.

Sorry, I've been travelling all day. I so wanted Dead Reckoning. I guess I was fooling myself into thinking i'd get it. I'll do the Marvels instead.
