Shryke, don't hesitate to tell us if it's too complicated for you to handle the draft in the coming days, of course, Someone else can be the MC if necessary.

Please, Chien. YOu did a remarkable job taking the reins this past year. I have no problem with you doing so again.

Okay, so with the weekend estimates, here are the final rankings (estimates) and the final numbers (estimates also of course, give of take a couple of millions for each) of the 2022/23 annual draft :

1. Tranny $1.29B
2. Six $1.10B
3. Chien $1.08B
4. Screen $870M
5. Walleye $800M
6. Spectre $740M
7. Shryke $720M
8. Buscemi $480M
9. Ron $462M

Considering that when the final numbers will be out on monday, the rankings won't change, we are now in position to start the 2023/24 annual draft, with the following order :

1. Ron
2. Boosch
3. Shryke
4. Spectre
5. Walleye
6. Screen
7. Chien
8. Six
9. Tranny
10. Banks

I will officialize this by creating the 2023/24 Draft thread in the coming minutes. From there on, gentlemen, you'll all know what to do.

As we wait for the draft to get going, I just wanted to congratulate Tranny for winning the game. On paper he was due to lose, but Mario saved him. What an incredible performance!

Yeah, that was an amazing late surge. We thought we would be battling it out til the last minute, but Mario cleaned it all up. Great win.

Thanks guys. Mario allowed me to overcome some shaky picks (namely Shazam!) to make the late victory push and I'm very lucky that it fell to me at the top of the 3rd round.

FINAL STANDINGS
This is it, my friends. The official, final results of the 2022-23 draft. 12 months of competition have come to an end.
Congratulations to Tranny, what a brilliant last month. Who would have thought, a year ago, that Mario would bring in 490 million dollars in a month ? Six and I really thought we had a chance a few weeks ago. How fools were we. It’s been fantastic to bring back our beloved game, after two years without it.
Great year, guys. And now, onto the next !

1. Tranny - $1,291,623,088
2. Six - $1,103,547,260
3. Chien - $1,077,968,519
4. Screen - $870,737,282
5. Walleye - $797,292,290
6. Spectre - $740,241,619
7. Shryke - $720,546,674
8. Buscemi - $479,423,211
9. Ron B - $462,185,864

We did not really comment on last year's draft beyond the well deserved compliments to Tranny for his glorious victory.

I've taken a look at what the "best and worst" picks were for each of the first 8 rounds, not counting the countless films that were either delayed or put to a platform. Here's how it went.

Round 1 : Top Gun Maverick ($718M) / Lightyear ($118M)
Round 2 : Ant-Man 3 ($213M) / Strange World ($38M)
Round 3 : Super Mario Bros ($490M) / Amsterdam and Babylon ($15M each)
Round 4 : Dungeons & Dragons ($88M) / The Fabelmans ($17M)
Round 5 : Where the Crawdads Sing ($90M) / Are You There God ? ($6.7M)
Round 6 : M3GAN ($95M) / She Said ($5.8M)
Round 7 : Cocaine Bear ($64M) / Men ($7.5M)
Round 8 : 65 ($32M) / Marcel the Shell ($6.3M)

In the last 4 rounds, there were 4 films that managed to collect more than 25 millions, and were excellent picks at this point in the draft :
The Invitation (picked by Ron, round 9), $25M
Plane (picked by Spectre, round 11), $32M
Dragon Ball Super (picked by Ron, round 11), $38M
The Menu (picked by Six, round 12), $38M

I may have come second, but I'm proud to have made $38m from the final pick of the draft

65 being the top-grossing pick of Round 8 is a testament to just how thin last year's draft was

Super proud to have the worst pick in two different rounds :) Ugh - weird year. Kudos to the winners and navigating this one.
