STANDINGS (up until April 16 included)
Only two more weekends to go, gentlemen ! There is no stopping Mario, and thus there is no stopping Tranny, who is now officially out of reach. I am closing in on Six for second place, with now less than $60M between us, but two weekends won’t be enough to catch him.

1. Tranny - $1,153,702,625 (3 films - Super Mario Bros, A Thousand and One, Shazam!)
2. Six - $1,090,434,795 (3 films - Beau is Afraid, Cocaine Bear, Avatar 2)
3. Chien - $1,032,550,058 (4 films - Suzume, AIR, Dungeons & Dragons, Champions)
4. Screen - $870,722,707 (1 film - Puss in Boots : The Last Wish)
5. Walleye - $780,149,551 (3 films - The Pope’s Exorcist, Scream VI, Jesus Revolution)
6. Spectre - $731,913,220 (2 films - Renfield, A Good Person)
7. Shryke - $719,616,389 (3 films - The Lost King, Creed III, Violent Night)
8. Ron B - $446,289,242 (2 films - John Wick, 65)
9. Buscemi - $432,016,992 (1 film - Ant-Man)

The following film appears to be done :
A Man Called Otto (Boosch, 5th round) = $64,267,657

4/21
Evil Dead Rises (Buscemi, WW)
The Covenant (Chien, WW)
Beau is Afraid (Six, WW)

4/28
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret (Walleye, 5th round)
Big George Foreman (Buscemi, 9th round)

And for a while, last month, I though I had a chance. I thought I was a contender.

Damn you, Mario, I'll be giving you that Luigi stare-of-death forever.

As for 2nd place, I'm kinda confident I have it. As long as Beau is Afraid gives me a few million, I should be safe. Despite the impressive performance by Air.

Yeah, as long as Beau is making a few millions this weekend, you should be good for second. Even if it fails, I might be too short anyway, not by much, but still too short. Dammit.

Definitely. We're about to be 10 days out from the start of the summer season and now that Boosh has officially jumped Ron in the standings, the draft order should more or less be solidified. Factoring in some time for prep work, Sunday or Monday seems like a good time to kick things off.

On a related note, Is Banks officially joining us this go-round and is everybody that played this past year returning?

Indeed, we are only a few days away from the new draft !
Considering how the numbers should reserve any surprise between sunday's estimates and monday's final numbers, we should be able to launch the draft on sunday.

Banks did imply he'd be willing to join us. I see Shryke sent us an email for everyone to confirm he's back. I'm good to go.

If you have the time to do so, of course you can go ahead and direct it.

STANDINGS (up until April 23 included)
Last week of the 2022/23 annual draft, gentlemen ! Boosch only just passes Ron, but with Evil Dead and Big George Foreman coming up, Ron won’t catch him anymore. And the rest of the rankings are pretty much set in stone (damn you, Six, I will end up about $25/30M behind you). We will officialize all that next monday, but it won’t change. Start researching for the next draft, which should start Sunday or Monday, if you haven’t already !

1. Tranny - $1,236,741,372 (3 films - Super Mario Bros, A Thousand and One, Shazam!)
2. Six - $1,100,743,957 (2 films - Beau is Afraid, Avatar 2)
3. Chien - $1,057,472,195 (5 films - The Covenant, Suzume, AIR, Dungeons & Dragons, Champions)
4. Screen - $870,737,282 (No film)
5. Walleye - $787,181,274 (3 films - The Pope’s Exorcist, Scream VI, Jesus Revolution)
6. Spectre - $737,665,319 (1 film - Renfield)
7. Shryke - $720,271,414 (2 films - The Lost King, Creed III)
8. Buscemi - $456,557,467 (1 film - Ant-Man)
9. Ron B - $455,123,183 (2 films - John Wick, 65)

The following film appears to be done :
Puss in Boots 2 (Screen, 2nd round) = $185,535,345
Cocaine Bear (Six, 7th round) = $64,388,510
Violent Night (Shryke, 6th round) = $50,057,405
A Good Person (Spectre, WW) = $2,210,465

4/28
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret (Walleye, 5th round)
Big George Foreman (Buscemi, 9th round)

I'd like to come back for this year's league, if everyone's OK with it!

Hey Banks! Well im ok with it.

I did a bit of research thinking ahead, like i usually do- once per year at max i always say.

Then i was somewhat horrified to see that there was NO AVATAR 3 this season. OMG. So, they already filmed it, but will wait until next year when i will finish 2nd last and miss the chance to draft it? Don't they even know, im supposed to draft 1st this year and we have no Star Wars or Avengers?!

I know, i know, i should have actually taken Top Gun before Chien this season (incase you didnt know) but hey, at least Super Mario came out of nowhere to steal the show! (nice one tranny). Always look on the bright side, says Eric Idle, my 3rd pick beat Shrykes 3rd pick, yep, sucked in Shrykester.

And i should note, i would have taken a WaiverWire pick, normally i do this at least once. But i thought to myself, what if Tranny takes Smile and it gets a good 100mil? Thats right, you can thank me later but also kudos to Buscemi for taking Evil Dead Rise just to pip me for No.2 (on the drafting board). Screen gets a credit for getting Barbarian with 40mil WW.

Wallsy, you took a punt with Scream at 6, turns out Strange World could have been that no. 6. And Speaking of six, you have everything, you had Avatar (lucckkkyyyy), but then you screwed it all up, you had to take Firestarter.

What a year. Im looking forward to the next one, with this motley crew. With any luck, you'll all have great returns....and then i can take Avatar 3 ;)

Of course, we'll welcome you back! We'd be some really coldhearted assholes if we didn't allow a member of Fantaverse royalty to return.

Hell yeah!!

Sadly, I'm not around as much as I used to be. My personal schedule and health problems make it difficult for me. That's why I'm glad others have stepped in to shoulder the burden.
