I don't have the final say on this, but I would recommend waiting until we know if Amazon is giving it a theatrical release or taking it straight to Prime. Considering their track record as a distributor, I doubt it will do much anyway.

They won't take it straight to Prime. More likely that they hold it until next year for awards season, but won't hurt to have it on the wire.

Exactly. Even if it ends up as a prime exclusive or doesn't get released during the season, there's no reason to not make it available.

I don't see it on his slate. And I don't see that he acquired it. Are you sure?

I drafted it in the 11th round, not Harriet. Someone else drafted that.

Doesn't look like it'll report box office, so I'll go ahead and drop The Irishman. And pick up Antlers.

It's Netflix. They don't report box office.

Yeah, they usually buy out theaters with their own money, which is what they did last year for Roma. That got to 600 theaters and never reported.

But my local Alamo hasn't scheduled any of the Netflix movies coming out in the next two months, so I don't even know if they'll show them. I doubt Irishman/Marriage Story/Dolemite get close to 600 theaters.

Plus they just announced they're showing The Irishman on Broadway because no theater will have it. Doesn't inspire confidence.
