It all feels a little too late now, but its good to see my slate putting up a bit of a fight in the final months. Sonic and The Invisible Man are really showing their worth. If only Godzilla vs Kong hadn't been bumped, I may have had a chance, but I think with everyone around me having at least one big hitter still to come, I'm fighting a losing battle. Well unless Marvel pull an Avengers and move Black Widow forward a little. Unlikely, but I live in hope!

And just like that, suddenly things have gotten a little more interesting! With Bond jumping ship until the autumn I think this may actually go down to the wire now. After next weekend I assume myself and six will be neck and neck, so I guess it is basically six's Peter Rabbit and Birds Of Prey vs my The Lovebirds + whatever I have left in the tank from The Invisible Man and Sonic. Might be a close call.

Indeed, that Bond reshuffling is a huge blow to Six' slate.
I remember when the draft occured last year, I didn't want to take the Bond risk because I was certain it would move to the following fall, I never thought it would happen because of a global virus. It's very bondesque after all.

3 months ago I thought I would end up just outside the podium, but in the end, I'm gonna get the gold medal.

"The following films appear to be done". Yeah, no kidding.

Here's how cursed "The New Mutants" is: THE WORLD ACTUALLY HAD TO COME TO AN END TO PREVENT IT FROM EVER BEING RELEASED. :D

Well... [Laughs weakly] So much for "Onward" rescuing my slate.

I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come.

I realized the other day that we should be right in the middle of drafting, in normal times.
And we still haven't officialized the results of the 2019/2020 draft !

I kinda want to draft something anyway... Best well rounded breakfast? With #1 overall are you going coffee to fill that hard to fill beverage slot or are you going egg because of it's flexibility? I mean after coffee, milk, and orange juice there is a steep dropoff. I think you gotta go coffee.

Draft actors to fill a popular movie? Take Woody in a more cowboy direction with Eastwood or further into good natured sarcasm with Ryan Reynolds?

I'm really bored right now.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I saw that they're thinking of casting Reynolds in the next Transformers. How long before everyone else gets sick of him in every other big movie (though it seems like Six Underground knocked him down a peg)?

I suppose I could do that, even though the entire season was canceled due to rain.

So what was the status on our draft ? Is it scrapped altogether ? Are we still counting the numbers even though the last 6 weeks were cancelled ?

US is still looking bad. 10s of thousands of new cases per day. I'd be surprised if cinemas are back up running properly til Sept or Oct.
