The rumors suggest the recut Deadpool 2 will have a number of alternate scenes originally shot for the television version as well as the editing of anything gory or too graphic for young audiences.

Basically, it defeats the whole purpose as to why Deadpool has been a successful series. But maybe it could be Fox's way of getting the films released in China while still milking the franchise for fans in other countries (there must be like 93 different Pops based on Deadpool). The first was banned in China due to the violence.

When Little goes on the wire I'll make a claim for it. Drop Slaughterhouse Rulez if I get it.

Did we come to a decision on The Deadpool Before Christmas edit of Deadpool 2?

That's a good question. My instinct is that it's the same film (with some changes) so should be incorporated into the film's BO count.

Problem is that they haven't officially announced what it is yet, have they? Still just leaked rumors?

Well, if it's the same film, obviously it will be added.

It's more or less official at this point. Fox has said that the PG-13 Deadpool 2 is going to theatres and a few new scenes are being shot in an attempt to get fans to see it again. There are also apparently plans to release this version to China, even though the first was never released there.
