I'd like to thank The Upside and Green Book for keeping me afloat way past the holidays. :D

The back half of the season is going to be hard for me to watch, as Division A promotion begins to slowly leave me behind

Wowzers... "The LEGO Movie: The Second Part" is CRATERING. Good Lord, that's surprising. It's a TERRIFIC sequel: Almost as "awesome" as the original, and that's damned hard to achieve. Crap. I don't even have it on my slate, and I'm bummed.

Also, can we call Liam Messing, action superstar, over now?

I thought it was the exact same film as the first. How could they jump ahead five years and not even bother to develop Emmet past "idiot hero"?

The people behind this film should have taken notes from the Kung Fu Panda franchise. The people behind that film developed Po from untested boob to Dragon Warrior while still keeping him funny. This was just, "Remember when Emmet screwed up this rescue? Let's have him do it again!".

Did this movie feature live people like the first one did (like Will Ferrell and his son)? Curious.

Yes. Maya Rudolph also appears as Ferrell's wife.

I read that the creator of BoJack Horseman wrote an unused draft for this one, which makes me wonder if he had a scene that topped BoJack and Emily Mortimer in the pilot of that.

The kids appear, too, and Will Ferrell has a voice cameo. (I LOL'd when he shouted, "Where's my pants?") :D

Shrykey-pooh, I don't think you have anything to worry about. You have a MINIMUM $300M left on your slate, and I'm betting closer to $400M. You should top $1.3B by the end. UDM probably has $100M left in the tank, that puts the three of us probably clustered within $100M of one another as the curtain rings down. I don't think anyone else can climb north of $1.2B.

You, me, and UDM. In whatever order, that's going to be our Top Three in Div B, unless something radically changes or I'm wrong.

Btw, this has been one HELL of a lot of fun, guys. I really regret missing the last decade or so... And I thank y'all for a FANTASTIC first FY competitive season (for me). Looking forward to April!

Well at least somebody's upset about its underwhelming performance  Hell, I'm actually delighted that it didn't do well. Better draft pick for next year baby!!!!!

Not to dispute your math, but I... can't figure out how you came to that number. Here's what I have left:

2/8 The Prodigy (WW)
2/14 Fighting with My Family (9)
3/1 Greta (WW)
3/15 Captive State (7)
3/22 Hotel Mumbai (WW)
4/5 Pet Sematary (8)

The Prodigy is off a slow start. FwmF looks like $40M tops, I'm not sure Greta, Captive State or Hotel Mumbai will even go wide enough to make $10M combined, and as for Pet Sematary... early buzz is that it'll make $60-80M. Add that together, and I couldn't catch Banks even if he didn't make another dollar.

Greta reminds me too much of The Little Stranger. Also, the trailer shows the entire movie in two minutes.

And I don't think Fighting with My Family even hits $20 million with the last-minute decision to open limited before expanding wide. In addition, Sundance reviews weren't as glowing as hoped and the Divas aren't mainstream as say, John Cena.
