Should probably take something with a release date, so pretty much the last wide release of the season, Dog Days.

By my count, there are still a couple with "wide" releases planned (meaning they appear in BOLD on BOM), but I am going to forego all of them and pick Eighth Grade. Maybe it's my Joshua's Island nostalgia (still on Kindle for FREE!!!! ), but I would love to see this be a big hit.

It's the most recent Drafthouse Recommends title. They seem to have a good track record with picking successes (past titles have included Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Big Sick, Get Out, and La La Land).

Personally, I feel it's really only getting attention because Bo Burnham directed it. No way it would have gotten that A24 deal or the buzz it got out of Sundance if a no-name had made it.

A24 weirdly hasn't dated any of their movies past July so far this year, so I'm hoping they'll put this one out in the fall: Mid-90s.
