I'm hoping for Prometheus like numbers this weekend from Alien. Round 3 should earn 100+ in order to be a good pick.

Covenant isn't really better than Prometheus, and comes after it, it will make less. The numbers in Paris are considerably less than Prometheus, like 50% less.

I read somewhere between 30-60% worldwide. In France, it's a 38.4% drop (source: Box Office Mojo).

But anyway, I figured something was up when the trailer simply seemed to say "we're remaking the original Alien and we also replaced Noomi Rapace with Tina from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". I also figured the movie was in trouble when I read James "Can't Turn Down a Job/Does He Really Need the Money?" Franco makes a cameo.

They should have just made Prometheus 2 as originally planned and silently increased the Alien elements.

Well, I think Covenant is going to make Bank. I was hoping it would come back around to me. You'll see my predictions for it tomorrow, but I think it will be a pleasant surprise for sure, and definitely clear 100 million.

Bad news for Jas: Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler just announced their next project...and it's not Creed 2. Unless Warner Bros. scrambles to get something ready in ten months, no way this arrives early next year.

And weissac will need to replace Amityville, as it's lost its date (again).
