I'm really curious to see what IT is going to do.
Re: 2017-18 Full Year Slates (Division A)
With such a major slump in the BO, I think this will be literally the only film people will be seeing next weekend. Glad I drafted it instead of Dark Tower!
Re: 2017-18 Full Year Slates (Division A)
I'm thinking a $60 million weekend (breaking the September record). It's rated R and over two hours but the subject matter is very graphic (but well-liked) and people like long movies. Another advantage is that they aren't stuffing the entire story into one film (learning from the mistake that Winter's Tale made a few years back, taking a long novel considered unfilmable and cutting subplots to where it ran under two hours) and will be making It Part 2 sometime next year.
I'll probably be seeing it on the IMAX (still have a lot on that gift card and Drafthouse doesn't work with MovieTickets.com) so I should be adding $16 to the gross.
Speaking of Warner Bros. and long movies, I like Blade Runner 2049 a little less due to the 163 minute run time. The original was under two hours and it feels like another Prisoners case where Villeneuve (and the co-writer of Alien: Covenant) is going to make the characters idiots to pad out the run time.

Question - If Unlocked doesn't report an income, may W be allowed to replace it?

I had warned that it wouldn't report. And I also support a replacement.

FYI, I definitely did not draft Flatliners. I'm old enough to remember what a steaming pile the original was, and the pointless remake somehow looks even worse.

I'd just like to state for the record that Six picked Wonder Woman and It right before me, and they were my choices had they dropped any more. So, when he wins this thing, I feel like I'll be standing there with him
Re: 2017-18 Full Year Slates (Division A)
Hah, I wish. Maybe if I picked Baby Driver instead of Diary of A Wimpy Kid 4. Or anything instead of All Saints. But nah, all my sucess over WW and It means nothing against The Last Jedi.
Re: 2017-18 Full Year Slates (Division A)
That makes me feel better... I was so sad when It went off the board 2 picks before me. I came "this" close to taking it in the 2nd but I didn't think Dunkirk had a chance to fall and I thought It might. At least now I know it REALLY wasn't going to fall to meWalleye413 wrote:I'd just like to state for the record that Six picked Wonder Woman and It right before me, and they were my choices had they dropped any more.
