I think that Wonder pick is about 7 rounds too early.

Busc, are you following the Chicago Bears' method of drafting this year?

I was surprised by that one, I don't have it in my Top 100. But I also didn't know that it had tested that well so who knows?

I don't watch the NFL, Banks. I'm following instinct. The book was popular, Tremblay's in demand, and Lionsgate knows they have something.

It could play like Hidden Figures did. Families flock to it but so do adults.

Guys, it's not like I drafted the fastest 40 time with the seventh pick. I have my reasons and I think Wonder is a much better option than the various action and comedy flops littering the schedule that show that the industry does not get its audience (if this weekend's box office wasn't enough proof of that).

Besides, it's not as bad of a pick as the time I took The Walk in the third round.

You may have valued Wonder this high but it's still too soon to pick it because as your draftmates indicate you could have waited at least 4 or 5 more rounds and still gotten it then

I am absolutely stunned by the Wonder pick. I mean, that's crazy! Yes, if (and that's a huge if) it gets a ton of buzz and hype for the Oscars, and it's platformed well, it could conceivably perform like Hidden Figures. So it could make $170m absolute and to the extreme ceiling. Which is probably about $30m more than the expectations of most of the other pretty solid movies still on the table right now. It could also level out at $20m. Is it worth that risk? As Aquamann said, I certainly wouldn't have been picking it for at least another 6 rounds, so for me, feels like a wasted drafting spot. But good luck to you, if it breaks out I will be first in line to give you props for such foresight.

A little food for thought but I bet Walleye's going to pick it in the next round. He's been talking about it for a while.

And I'd be happy with $20 million to be perfectly honest. As I said, I took The Walk in the third round two years ago and it died at $10 million.

Darn it, leestu, I was hoping I could pick Dark Tower (for the second straight year...)

At this point, we're reaching for anything left with blockbuster potential, so I'm going to pick Fifty Shades Freed and hope everyone who endured the first two movies (both of which cleared $100M) will show up for the trilogy-capper. (It IS a trilogy, right?)
