As another of my TBA films have been picked over in A Division I better jump in and snap it up a little earlier than anticipated. I'll take Untouchable.

Fuck, I thought TWC would scare everyone else off!

I've got one more TBA in the can that I really want, and I swear if someone in A takes it and alerts everyone...

True, but barring any major reshoots, and if Cannes audiences like it, 3 months of mixing and scoring won't affect a December limited release date.

Yes Ron, but filming has been pushed a few times. It was supposed to begin production in late 2015 but never did. Apparently, filming finally started late last year.

Meanwhile, did Surfer send anyone a list? He told me this morning that he was reworking his list and not to pick for him until the new list arrived.
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.

Sorry, didn't think it would get around to me so quick, so went to bed.

I have been debating whether to go for another TBA this round but in the end decided on the relative safety of a limited release with good potential. So Call Me By Your Name.

I wanted to wait until the 16th to take this but those guys in A have been undercutting me all Draft and I didn't want to risk that again. So I'll take my Leap of Faith pick here in the 25h.

I'll take Bright.

The Netflix one. Netflix is itching to move into the threatical space (not including the dismal limited release that Beast of No Nation saw) and I think the deal gets done sooner than later. I think they're pissed that others aren't taking them seriously as a production house, first missing out completely on Oscar nominations two years in a row while Amazon easily brought home gold, then the derision from the Sandler deal, and finally when Cannes changed their rules only to make it harder for Netflix specifically to have films in competition. They know what they need to do, and that's get rid of any notion of day-and-date streaming.

And in their press statement las month where they emphatically stated how much they'd like to work with theaters, they specifically mentioned Bright as an option. Not only would a potential distribution partner feel better with their first release being a wife Will Smith film, Netflix themselves would like to make a splashy entrance into theaters. Mark my words, Bright will be in 3,000 theaters this December, with a big ole red Netflix logo in front of it.

Or probably not, whatever. I can just replace it
