Yeah it's in post-prod now. Disney would be beyond stupid to release it outside of the holidays though given the association with the story and with Coco/Episode VIII locked, I'd be surprised if they slot it in. Would make much more sense to me if they moved Mary Poppins out of its slot and put Nutcracker in December 2018.

I'll take Fighting with my Family. What the world needs now is another wrestling movie.

Finally made it... now let's finish this up so I can grab something good with my waiver pick. ;)

Couple of darts here. I'll take He's Out There with the first. It's slasher horror and it's wrapped so if it ends up sticking on the calendar, it'll be worth the pick coming from Screen Gems. And I'll close with the Death Wish remake. Same situation... it's wrapped and the material is perfect for Bruce Willis so I'm just hoping it gets a date in-game.

With my final pick I could try for a big reach, or something clever, but I'm just going to pick movie that I think is amazing and want to cheer on. I'll take Step. This is why documentaries are made, to inspire us and show that sometimes a real story is even better than the made up ones. Maybe it'll make a few bucks, but even if it doesn't, I'll enjoy having it on my slate.

Funny, I thought you'd go Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life with your sentimental pick.

If you guys keep picking movies I've never heard of I'll have a lot of equally unappealing options for my round 16 pick.

I was considering taking a chance on Drunk Parents, but I already have Kidnap, so I didn't want a repeat of the year I had 3-4 Relativity titles which never saw the light of day.

Last pick.... what to do. Not many unscheduled films that have potential.

Going to make Boosch explode with rage and pick another A24 release.

Under the Silver Lake

Maybe it can do as well or better than the director's previous film, It Follows.

This might not be too bad. It's written and directed by Stephen Merchant and it has Lena Headey and Nick Frost teaming with Dwayne Johnson. It's also based loosely on Paige and the Bella Twins (which is currently the basis for an E! series) so it's going different from your typical wrestling film.

MGM picked up worldwide rights so a distribution deal should happen soon (Paramount and Warner Bros. will both make strong bids).
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.
