It's going to be an insanely big box office year.

I'm not big on the Oscar Bonus thing. It's all a crap-shoot, especially this far out, and usually, films benefit in their dollars earned as a result of them being in the Oscar conversation anyway.

Also, congrats on the baby, and best of luck to you!

Thanks was hoping Despicable me 3 would slip to me and make this an easy choice. A bunch of movies in this tier for me it's a crapshoot I'll go with a movie I want to root for and see Do big business Taika Watiti's Thor:Ragnorok

I placed Despicable Me 3rd in my own list!

Okay, a tough choice but I'm going with Wonder Woman

I may be too PC but I'm hoping it will be the first true female superhero success.

I'm off to bed, so will pick again in 8 hours if it comes to me then.

I'm pretty torn on this too. Last time I went with Pixar I got the Good Dinosaur and that killed me. But I'm going to trust they're back on their A game and choose Coco. Moana served me well last year too. It's got to do better than Cars 3 right?

Well that went as poorly as expected. Going to be fun to see if I can avoid being demoted. Anyway, time to torpedo my draft by taking gambles because I can't stomach the stale franchises that are probably the movies I should pick here. I feel like the country is in full-blown bad sequel fatigue so if I'm going to get crushed, I want to bet on quality.

I'll go with Black Panther to start. He's a lesser known character so I could be looking at an Ant-Man take but that's pretty much been Marvel's floor and I'm sure it's going to be great given Coogler and the cast. With this staying put after Disney updated their schedule again, I feel pretty good that it won't move.

Then I'll reach and break one of my draft rules. I'm taking Dunkirk. I pretty much refuse to take war movies at face box office value given that so many bust but with Nolan's name, it stands a chance. This looks like it could be absolutely incredible. Unless it outperforms Saving Private Ryan though, this pick could be the end of my draft right here but at least it'll be an interesting one.

Well, since I can't be risky and take Dunkirk, I'll be riskier and take A Wrinkle in Time. Stellar cast, great source material, and if it makes half as much as Beauty and the Beast I'll look like a genius.

Wow. Some risky picks there!

Just a reminder - the clock is now only 12 hours now that you're past the first round. So keep vigilant, and make sure someone (like me) knows what your next potential pick(s) could be if you're going to be away from your computer for a length of time.

I know, I know, don't remind me. My draft sheet told me to take something like Transformers: The Last Gasp or Cars: Lightning McQueen Gets Seriously Hurt But Your Kids Will Love It! but I'm not dying on that hill ;)

Okay, this is a tough choice. I could go for a film that's part of a huge franchise but seems to have diminishing returns, but it's a safe bet in some ways.

But I think I'm going to go for a film that's part of an increasingly popular series..
