RULES

Waivers is a 48 hour period for drops, date changes, and additions to the waiver wire. Waivers start when a film is posted here, the Division B of full year draft league, The Latest Date Changes thread, and also when a film is dropped by another player.

During this period you can stake your claim for a film on the list, but it is NOT first come, first serve. The highest person on the waiver wire (1 being the highest) that stakes a claim during the 48 hour window gets the film. This in turn, moves them to the back of the line. The first waiver wire is in the reverse order of the first round of the draft.

Anything that passes the 48 hour waiver period is free to be chosen without losing your waiver position

You cannot add or drop any film with a release date within 2 weeks (14 days) of the current date. This rule is only in effect until 1/31/2017.

A couple of movies that may make a date are 20th Century Women and Henchmen. Didn't notice anyone had them on their slates so feel free to add them to the wire.

There's a movie called Henchmen?? It probably isn't but if it was an adaptation of THIS book, that would be fucking AWESOME.

I'm already looking to drop my round 16 pick, because the trailer is out and it looks utterly ridiculous.

The movie I want isn't even on the waiver wire list in either Division, so can I just go ahead and make the switch?

John - I wouldn't have a problem with that personally (so long as nothing has changed with its status since the draft) but I'll defer to someone who knows the rules better. Not sure if an unlisted film has to be added to the list before it can be added or not.

Boosh - I have it on there as a TBA, I'll go ahead and put a date to it. Thanks.

There was news of a sort shortly after we finished, but it's status hasn't changed from TBA, and that's the criteria we usually use, i.e. when a film gets a release date it has to go through waivers.

I seriously considered this movie for the last few rounds, but seeing the trailer for Incarnate is what made me want to make the switch. I didn't even know about the "news" until today when I double-checked the other titles I'd been considering in round 16, so the news flew well under the radar.

I can't remember another situation like this in the past, so there's no precedent I'm aware of that would stop me from adding a film which is apparently flying under everyone's radar so far.

John I'm pretty sure everything has to go through the waiver wire at this point so we'd need to throw it on the board

Okay, I'll make the move. If it has to clear waivers, one of two things will happen. Either I'll get the movie I want or I'll force someone to burn their pick to block me.

So I'll drop Incarnate for Ballerina.

Alright, I have Aquamann and John's claims in there from when they made them; everyone has 48 hours from that point to claim them.

Every other film on the list has been added to the wire starting now. If you have anything else you want to add, let me know.

I'm going to put in a claim for Trainspotting 2 to drop The Lost City of Z if it goes through. I liked the sales trailer but without a distributor yet and based on the feel of it, I'm not sure how wide it goes if at all.
