Grr I knew I should have taken the shallows over Popstar but I went with my heart instead of my head on that one.

What a horrible start in this draft. 3 films out, including my #1 pick, and all i've got in the bank is $120M. That's just brilliant. Next film Lights out... we'll see about that but now I hope Pete's Dragon is gonna make a big surprise because I already need it.

Don't worry, Chien, I'm in the same situation. This is why I backload my slates, usually. Nothing but a disaster for my first few releases, and I suspect The BFG is going to perform similarly next weekend. That will be my Round 2 and 3 movies both out, neither of which will likely hit $100m.

Well come to think of it, I never have great starts in the draft anyway. But usually I don't have my #1 film open so below my expectations. But I guess almost all of us are plagued with disappointments this season so far so we're probably even indeed. And I already know that at least, Fast 8 will bring me some gas at the end of the season.

I'm sort of glad I haven't had a movie released yet :)
